They could just go and include the price fix for the archaeology grey artifacts... they are piling up!
Kyle Feb 1st 2011 7:30AM
It's not the new things that interest me, it's the fact that this is an actual patch, not new content. I want them to fix what's broken. Tune the heroics. Fix the classes. Debug the raids. Stuff that should happen sooner rather than later.

Right. I really enjoy playing this game, but I'm going to enjoy playing it even more when I'm not stuck in the netherhell that is Leatherworking 505-510. Or when I can do Heroic Stonecore without cursing my own existence.
Oh well, hopefully this means we'll have a nice smooth patch when it comes.

Thank God, I need more time to hoard troll artifacts for ZIn'rokh.
Cyrus Feb 1st 2011 8:41AM
Same here. (I'd be just as happy to get Tyrande's Doll, the troll sword is better but the night elf trinket would be an upgrade for my main, but leveling archaeology while hoarding two kinds of artifacts seems like it would take years.) Every week without 4.0.6 means I have another week to get a bit further towards 450 points.

Heh, we're warcraft players, we have to complain about the sublime, under-priced, easy-to-play, expansive, immersive, Technicolor marvel of modern programming we use all the time, it's in the EULA or something.
MusedMoose Feb 1st 2011 8:10AM
Heh, no kidding. I used to play a text-only MUD/MMO where there were no quests (only grinding), you had to use items to figure out what they did, and you could actually screw up your character and make it worthless by training in the wrong things. And at the time, I thought it was great. This is why I almost never complain about anything in WoW. *grin*

If I'm going to be stuck at home all day for snow, I'd like patching to take as little time as possible :)
Razzor Feb 1st 2011 8:49AM
Great Song thanks!!!!!!

It's probably a good thing, considering most of the country's going to be covered in snow and ice. Can you imagine trying to do server maintenance and/or a patch when there was a possibility of power outages? Yeah.
mike Feb 1st 2011 10:11AM
We (me and Blizz) live in (usually) southern California where it currently is a cool 41 degrees at my place, probably slightly warmer in Irvine...we be good with our power :-)
Sedna Feb 1st 2011 10:49AM
...okay, that's a good reason to delay patching too. I'm on the East Coast, so I haven't seen the snowstorm (which I like to call "The Thrilla in Vanilla") come my way yet, but we're supposed to get some significant freezing rain. I'm trying to shake the feeling that I'm going to chisel a sheet of ice from my windshield tomorrow morning and look up to find Arthas smirking at me from the passenger seat.
AudreyR Feb 1st 2011 11:01AM
@mike True, but not all the server farms are in Irvine.
Necromann Feb 1st 2011 9:21AM
I want to do the levitate trick to get no static at all before the stars come. But I need my computer to befixed in order to do that. At least I can still go on wow insider on my iPod.

Has any of you heard from someone who's stealthed in/eye of kilrogged in/mind visioned to see which drakes are up for Halfus this week?
There's a thread on the forums where someone puts forth the theory that the drake combo is not actually random. If he's right, the US will have Slate Dragon, Time Warden, Whelps this week and much rejoicing will be heard throughout the land.

I just want to say a big thank you to Blizzard for not patching today, so that we poor blizzard victims can at least play WoW while we're stuck in snow-maggedon.

Fix the Mac client, whose poor graphical performance and crashes are becoming legendary.
mike Feb 1st 2011 12:00PM
PC FTW!
Mac...crash different...
Just playing =P

You call the Tol Barad changes "interesting". I think you mean interesting like the Chinese proverb, "May you live in interesting times."
