Veil of Corruption II by Blackhand Productions took about two years to create. The final movie, which will be released on Feb. 11, 2011, will be over two hours. If it's two hours of this high-quality work, then I suspect many of us will be huddled around our computers to see its release. This trailer looks absolutely fantastic. The movie will be released in both English and German, and the final product has more voice actors than I could hope to list here.
It's hard to tell what we can expect from the plot, but I guess the whole point of a trailer is to whet your appetite. For now, check out this trailer, and we'll see you back for the full movie on Feb. 11. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! This looks very promising! It feels epic and I'm excited to see the outcome. The only criticism I can place is that the tauren voice just feels off. Everything else feels spot on for each race and character. The tauren voice just sounds like the character is young or almost comical in a spoof sense. I think that a tauren voice just might be slightly out of that actor's range. Excellent production though!
The production length honestly reminds me of Tales of the Past 3. If a machinimator invests this much time and effort into a movie, it's to my experience that these machinima are definitely the ones worth watching.
Looks amazing! I second the Tauren voice work, though. The voice seems almost like it's underwater and is difficult to understand...the actor is probably trying just a bit too hard. I really hope that the main character's voice doesn't dampen what looks to be an awesome piece of work!
Agreeing with the majority here. A bit troublesome getting used to the Tauren's voice acting. I'm spoiled tho, prefer subtitles anyhow. But even without them, looking forward to seeing this film (machina) full length feature! Whatevs you call it... it looks to be amazing. Thanks for linking!
This was actually a machinima that I took part in almost a year ago! I thought the director had just given up... in fact, it was just a HUGE project! I'm looking forward to it... I'm not in the trailer, but my character is pretty... evil :D Also uses another stage name for me - Evaiyne ;)
I think the biggest draw of these things is their using only in-game animations, when you get into really interesting drama like this and the battles feature everyone doing generic weapon swings, or the character moments have the very flamboyant "talking" animations we're all used to, it sort of ruins it for me.
Ah well, I'm probably in the minority anyway, kudos to the team on the story.
I am sorry but that intro voice which was a cross between yoda, miss piggy (both frank oz), and someone with a snotty cold made me stop it. What the hell was he saying? Looks great but the voice talent made it impossible!
I'll try to watch it again at home with the sound higher.
See, I'd have added Kermit in there rather than Miss Piggy... I watched the trailer, and the music was awesome and it looked like epic in style... but I just couldn't stand the voices. And I do think a voice can kill or make a character when it's in this sort of style. I'm sure the project took a ton of work and I'm sure it's skilled... but only a few of the voices in the trailer worked for me, so I really don't think I'd be able to sit through an entire two hours of them.

I tried watching the first one but its in German. Anybody got a link to an English version or am I gonna have to suffer through it?
Henry Feb 1st 2011 12:46PM
It definitely looked cool. I did have trouble understanding the voices, especially in the beginning. Hopefully that's not an issue throughout.

This looks epic, but my favorite was, is and always will be:
Tales of the Past III
If you have not seen it, you do not diserve to watch machinima.

Okay then, moving on... so the final movie is expected to be over 2 hours? Wow. We'll see how that goes. :P

Gosh, upon reread my post sounds bitchy. Sorry gang. My bad.
Hairfish Feb 1st 2011 10:36PM
Hopefully my agreeing with you completely will make us both sound less bitchy.
This LOOKS fantastic, and I look forward to watching it. But I do hope there are subtitles. :|

old Kermit or the new-weird-it's-not-Jim-Henson-even-though-I-try-really-hard-to-imagine Kermit?
