"[with Tailoring] . . . you're able to fill virtually every gear slot with well-itemized ilevel 346 . . ."
Sadly, there are no craftable 346 items from tailoring, so you won't be able to fill virtually every gear slot as advertised. (There are some 333s, and 2 slots of 359 that you can make with tailoring, but that is it.)
My priest is a tailor, and it is a worthwhile profession, but the above referenced statement is false.
Whomever your source was on the benefits of tailoring, Fox, needs to be Mind Flayed.

Actually, the entry-level crafted PVP gear is 346, and it is pretty well itemized ... but for PVP, not PVE. Plus that hat looks badass.
Also, given how every level 85 blacksmithing recipe seems to require chaos orbs, I must say tailoring is *great* with how dreamcloth can be made with soloing and time. Four 85s and I've yet to set foot inside a Cata dungeon on normal, let alone heroic, so it's lovely to be able to craft useful 85 gear to replace random leveling stuff.

My source was my own faulty memory, I guess, but you're right, they're 333s, not 346s. The PvP craftables are 339.
