So they're replacing a jumbled mess of RNG on top of RNG with a simple one-layer RNG for ret dps.And with the change to mastery, it's going to make inquisition that much more necessary for paladins to do good dps.I think the overall effect will be a slight buff to PvE dps with dry spells where ret dps will dip low or spike high based on that RNG, and Ret DPS will also scale similar to warriors with gear level. However, the net effect of these changes are going to kill whatever semblance of ret pvp there was. Especially with ONLY crusader strike building cp's? Like... what the heck man. I feel for all the paladin brothers out there that like to get their pvp on.I only have experience with holy and ret, and the funny thing is, the holy power thing is absolutely magnificent for holy. I have no opinion on prot never having the experience, but for a system that was initially designed for ret, it seems to me that blizzard really needs to almost just go back to the drawing board - or at the very least listen to some of the very good suggestions from various paladin commentators out there. I've seen some gerat ideas on mmo-champ, on the official blizzard forums, and on wow insider, and every time they change something, it just seems they are going sideways with ret.
