I have to say that none of the 80-85 zone quests had anywhere near the impact on me that the Forsaken chain did. Silverpine Forest especially stands out in my mind.
Blizzard....different quest chains for races/classes is good! I know it's a lot of work, but it's so much more rewarding when you can fine tune the quests to fit a particular race/class.
In the new zones, I kept waiting for a "Wrathgate" moment that never came. The Deathwing v Red Dragons fight came closest, but I didn't feel like I had done anything to advance it. At the Wrathgate, I knew that the Forsaken couldn't have launched the Blight without my help. I felt complicit in what happened. (My Druid felt guilty and taken advantage of. My Lock just smiled.)
