Phat Loot Phriday: Very Soft Pillow

"You sure about this?" Lolegolas asked.
"Blood and glory, friend," Throgg answered with the firm, steel resolution of the Horde.
Without another word, the two jumped. Lolegolas shrieked briefly as he fell before hitting the ground with an indecorous splat. Throgg, however, floated down on the wings of a Pilla. It took about 10 seconds, and he softly landed without a scratch.
Throgg looked at Lolegolas with a smile. "Told you. Very Soft Pillow. Magnificent for long falls."
- Type: Trinket
- Stamina: 11
- Use: Reduces your fall speed for 10 sec. (10 Min Cooldown)
How to get rid of it: You can disenchant it into Dream Dust, Greater Nether Essence, or a Large Radiant Shard. Or, you can simply vendor it for 1 gold, 27 silver, and 93 copper.

Going to be a bit messy cleaning Lolegolas' remains...unless there is another loot that may/may not be phat?
Narshe Feb 4th 2011 6:13PM
Poor Lolegolas, he should know better by now to not question Throgg. Silly Blood Elf.

Oh...It's a trinket...so when you equip it the CD will activate? Now I'm depressed.
I guess if you real fall protection you'll have to reroll eng.
Bernie Roscoe Feb 4th 2011 6:58PM
That is rather disappointing. I'm of the opinion that all classes should have access to a Slow Fall mechanic of some kind. Obviously, on a longer cooldown so as to lend advantage to the original paratroopers, mages, priests, and engineers.

Or you could use an equipment manager like Outfitter (I don't know if the ingame one will do this) to automatically equip the trinket every time you mount up.
On my non-engineering characters, that's what I do, anyway.

Apparently Throgg was smart enough to wait at least 30 sec after strapping the pillow to his butt, unlike someone else...
Nathanyel Feb 4th 2011 6:19PM
I thought he was a paladin...

3 words: LOL!
devilsei Feb 4th 2011 6:40PM
You know, instead of slowing fall speed, it should just negate one fall damage after use within maybe 20-30 seconds or something.
Bernie Roscoe Feb 4th 2011 6:59PM
And maybe not be in trinket form.
Kurash Feb 4th 2011 6:43PM
Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition! Poke her with the SOFT CUSHIONS!!

Now that's a trinket I'd want. :)
Kurash Feb 4th 2011 6:51PM
...or maybe the Comfy Chair. That'd be useful from time to time.

I wonder if the Evonice's Landin' Pilla (previous quest reward name) in my bank got changed to this... :(
zaababy Feb 4th 2011 8:26PM
I have the same trinket, from having to kill the elite that spawns. I was not expecting it and didn't connect the 2 until afterwards, it all happened so fast. Not many people know about it! Usually when the elite spawns folks hightail it out of there!
Webwolf Feb 4th 2011 9:58PM
I am *pretty* sure I still have Evonice's Landing Pilla... except given that we can actually *fly* in Old World now, being a druid mostly negates the need for such clumsy tactics.
GormanGhaste Feb 4th 2011 10:11PM
No, Evonice's Pilla is still the quest reward from killing the elite spawn, so if you do both, you have two slowfall trinkets. This one is better though, has the stam buff and a shorter CD.

That's not a horde zeppelin in the image, is it? I've never seen that design before, does anyone know where it's from?
Eros Feb 4th 2011 11:40PM
Its an airship from Final Fantasy. The pic was used when they first announced the TB to ORG zeppelin route.
ichi Feb 5th 2011 2:37AM
i carry this and use it, the only hassle is that equipping it triggers the CD, so you have stand there for a while before you jump. Still, beats running around through mobs.
