Around Azeroth: Out of the game and into the streets
Disclaimer: WoW Insider does not condone the cool crime of vandalism. But all things considered, this is a pretty cool piece of vandalism. Mallem of <Inappropriate> on Zuluhed (US-H) recently noticed that the Alliance/Horde conflict has moved out of Azeroth and into meatspace. This construction project sign is on the campus of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, where I live. Nice try, NCSU, but your love of the Horde still doesn't make up for your basketball team.

Going to have to say WoWInsider would have been wiser not to post this if it was real vandalism.
Funny? It would have been if it had been a photoshop. But this is a real sign which will cost real money to repair.
I think as a future policy, WoWInsider ought to strongly consider not posting pictures of acts of WoW related vandalism as humor. It isn't a question of whether it is "encouraging someone." It's simply a matter of refusing to give such vandalism an audience to begin with.
/waits for downranking to begin.

I'm shocked how many people have no sense of humor.

Most people commenting here from the U.S.. Now, I honestly have nothing against americans but absurdly many of them seem to take life (and gaming) way too seriously, at least what I've been reading many gaming related blogs and forums.

Sometimes having a good sense of humor means knowing when not to laugh at something.

haha that is so freaking awesome!

Just picked through one paragraph here because I believe you've gotten confused between the posters. SteveB and Steve83 are not the same person. '
-'he first interjected his own personal value system into the discussion, trying to claim the high-ground against others simply because they said an illegal act was wrong'
Assertion of any opinion is an attempt to gain the high ground. In any case, I fail to see how it's any less preachy than your rigid view of illegal = wrong, anywhere at any time.
-'Until that point people were simply stating their opinions'
So the likes of Carebear and the rest calling people morons is just pure and innocent? Stop trying to act like somehow, just because I have a less strict world view than you, that I have some how derailed this thread into moral ambiguity.
-'as opposed to a mutually-agreed upon societal standard.'
And what would this be? Concepts of right and wrong are highly personal, this is why governing bodies seldom try to legislate along a moral basis. Law is about control, not right and wrong. Even a cursory understanding of how sociaty works would lead you to this conclusion.
Does this mean I'm some kind of reckless, anarchist law breaker? Of course not. I just disagree with you.
-'Well, seeing as how this has degenerated into a senseless argument, and I doubt anyone's position is going to be influenced one way or the other, I'm going to drop it now. Feel free to carry on the convo if you wish.'
Well, thankyou for your blessing that we may continue to converse. You're not being preachy or high and mighty there at all are you?

Posting fail. Should be a reply to Ronin.

"When you watch Family Guy and they make fun of fat people, do you think, 'Aw, poor fat people?' No, you laugh."
No, actually, I do say, "Aw, poor fat people," and then I turn the channel. Life's shitty enough for overweight people, they don't need the King of Douchebags (MacFarlane) making fun of them, too.
Make fun of people whose lives are wonderful. It's no fun to make someone feel worse about something that already makes them feel bad.

Light blue? Obviously they are mages. So I would have to go with Dalaran. :)
