BH is also a big source for these and will probably continue to be so. If you're the resident enchanter in a PvE guild, it's probably a crystal or two each week. Even if you aren't, you can usually tell a raid before hand that you can DE any unneeded items and have a shot at a free-roll.Also, WTB new Call to Auction.

The problem with relying on that is that most guilds are keeping shards in house (at least guilds that are any decent, like mine), which is part of the reason why they've been so expensive. It's a vicious cycle: if shards are difficult to come by, guilds are going to hold onto them tooth and nail, which makes them in turn more difficult to come by. Generally I'm the one that shards gear during raids, and it always goes straight into the guild bank for guildie enchants.The only time you really see people free rolling for shards the way you describe is in Argy pugs in Tol Barad, if there's no class present to use the items. Which still isn't enough to drive a market, frankly.
