So, my hunter has an issue where, when his pet is first summoned, theystart with really low health, like about 7k at level 85. After 1-5seconds, it gets back to normal, but he can be killed during thattime. I guess this has been a problem in the past, but with petsscaling so much with my health, it is very crippling. My question is,has Blizz mentioned any chance of fixing this?

My lock has the same issue, but never 5 seconds worth. Generally one second and the minion is up to full health. I'd suggest lag, but then you would be seeing evidence of that everywhere, not just the pet's health bar.

It's been posted up and down and all around the bug forums but no word from a Blue poster yet. The issue has been happening since the Shattering/pre-Cata and it still hasn't been looked at or fixed.Kinda sucks when I dismount and try to get a quest mob/item only to have my pet get one-shotted. Melee hunters ftl :(

My frost mage's Squirtle has this issue too. It seems to be an issue that they addressing in tomorrow's 4.0.6 patch. It has been A Thing for me only in PVP, mainly in a Tol Barad battle.

What's really bad is when it does a double bug, he gets brought out with low hp, and his health doesn't jump back up >.

Well, that's annoying. I do wish they would at least acknowledge the problem and tell us soon(TM) or say that it's something that can't be fixed easily. As a BM hunter (I know, it's "teh failz" spec, but I love my big red pet) I would really love for them to say anything about it.

It's not a new bug by any means; it's been an issue ever since pets (and it affects all of 'em) started scaling at all. The critter spawns, then scales, and then heals to their new full.As long as the pet doesn't get hit, I've never seen them not top off, and sometimes they'll fill up after taking a (non-fatal) hit. And then there's all the times they'll take a quick hit and the game decides that that's where the pet's health level will stay.It does seem to be a smaller window for it to bug than it once was, but I'm not sure if that's random chance or if Blizzard has actually improved things; I don't play pet classes as much as I once did.

I've quite liked being able to heal my pets to full by mounting and unmounting. Saved me a ton of downtime while questing.
