Y'know, feathers and fur are both pretty flammable, and look at how many mounts have at least one of those...
...and maybe the engineers' flying machine could occasionally explode for no reason...

Brand New/TBS debate on WowInsider?! well I never....
Jessie Lacey from Brand New wrote this song (seventy times seven) first, about John Nolan from TBS sleeping with Jessie's girl.
TBS fired back with "There's no I in Team" using lyrics from "Seventy Times Seven" to make it an obvious retaliation.
Both good songs. Both guys friends now, so all forgotten about.
And neither play WoW...

Flying Carpets should, at minimum, fray over time, making them smaller and smaller. They take up far too much screen real estate IMO. Why do they have to be so _huge_? When will Blizz get away from this idea that mounts have to get always-ever-bigger in order to be awesome?

I noticed that a very fast mount...a Frosty Flying Carpet in my case, will outrun a fireball. However, after two circuits of Deepholm the fireball was still behind me. I think it doesn't drop unless you change regions...and even then I am not sure and haven't tested it. Sometimes I had to wait a bit to see if it was still behind me...it was. You can gain that much distance on it but it is slow doing so. I noticed when I finally gave up and let it hit me that it did almost no damage. I wonder if the damage goes away over time?
