Patch 4.0.6 hotfixes for Feb. 8

Patch 4.0.6 has only been out a day, and we've already got a list of hotfixes. While some have been pushed live, others may required a server restart, so if you don't see the changes go into effect immediately, don't panic! A few highlights from the list:
- Players who have used the Paid Race Change service to transfer to a goblin or worgen character post-patch 4.0.6 can properly use the dungeon finder again. Thank goodness!
- Possibly due to the bugs present prior to patching, the Love Is in the Air event has been extended by 48 hours.
- In Blackwing Descent, Maloriak's Aberrations should correctly spawn even if Vile Swills are still alive from the previous phase.

Zarhym- General
- Escape Artist again correctly removes movement impairing effects.
- Players who have used the Paid Race Change service to transfer to a goblin or worgen character post-patch 4.0.6 can properly use the Dungeon Finder again.
- Love Is in the Air has been extended by 48 hours. The in-game Calendar should now reflect it runs through February 20.
- Classes
- Druids
- Disentanglement (new passive specialisation) is now properly functioning for Restoration druids, allowing them to get out of root effects by using Shapeshift. Logging out or changing zones no longer causes the spell to be unlearned.
- Attempting to use Warstomp while in Tree of Life form returns a "You can't do that yet" error and does not cast the spell.
- Mages
- Rank 2 of Fingers of Frost now has the correct proc chance.
- Shaman
- Elemental Overload (Mastery) procs of Lightning Bolt or Chain Lightning correctly generate Rolling Thunder charges.
- Stormstrike is now correctly proccing Maelstrom Weapon.
- Warlocks
- Refreshing Immolate with Hand of Gul'dan is now correctly augmented by the Inferno talent, refreshing Immolate to a 21-second duration instead of 15.
- Druids
- Dungeons & Raids
- Blackwing Descent
- Maloriak's Aberrations should correctly spawn even if Vile Swills are still alive from the previous phase.
- Shadowfang Keep
- Lord Walden again correctly uses Ice Shards and Toxic Catalyst.
- Throne of the Four Winds
- Conclave of Wind bosses now correctly regenerate health out of combat.
- Blackwing Descent
- Items
- The Fire-Etched Dagger swing speed was too slow and has been updated. The tooltip will not reflect the updated time of 1.7 seconds until a client-side patch can be applied.
- Heroic and normal versions of Magma Plated Handguards did not have enough Strength and have been updated.
- Heroic and normal version of Sapphirium Handguards did not have enough Strength and have been updated.

We always used to be able to cast War Stomp in ToL. So odd that they took it out. Oh well, I can cast it in kitteh and bear form, so I dun cur.

They plan to fix that in patch 4.0.[redacted]. But remember to [redacted] your [redacted] first on your computer, and make sure your Windows updates are set to [redacted] or you could run the risk of getting banned from WoW for the offense of [redacted].

Don't forget whoever had the "the Exalted" got it taken away. No matter when you got the 40 faction achivment.

I dont understand how on ANY other achievement "grandfathering" was possible and they did it but all of sudden on this they took the stand to strip it out.
When was last time they stripped titles away even if the legitimately got it before changes? Imo this is the first one. I'm really annoyed because I spend countless days farming ogres, ethereals, furblogs, bog-lords/pick flowers, and other such things, doing black temple every week with even worst possible pugs for rep, M hyjal raid with 10% rep buff and barely got it before 4.0.3, soloed ZG and bought items for rep with insane amounts (7k?)
All that because "After 4.0.3 the title will be awarded with 45 exalted".
And now I have to grind 10 more? Seriously ;_; ? Cata reps(5) are slow at it is (45 min queue times with inpatient people, hi) and then what? Do I really have to run bloody molten bore for next 12 weeks to get that exalted and do some weird goblin stuff to get BB etc exalted? 40 exalted was annoying to say very least if you got it before 4.0.3 (to catch up 6 years worth of hardcore/grindy/dreadful/tedious/costy rep).
Oh well, I guess I'll just have to suck it up and get what was rightfully mine back.

I got 40 exalted before world change patch.
I spend lots of time, gold, braincells, wasted some sleep to grind in couple months time 6 years worth of grindy/daily-only/costy/hardcore/raid-only rep.
Now in some small patch they just decided to TAKE IT AWAY? They have NEVER removed titles from other achievements like this but all of sudden this makes difference?
Yes, this removal is intended change according to blues because they wanted it to be "meaningful". Well excuse me blizzard but getting 40 exalted before new factions in cata was pretty damn meaningful. Gosh, all those plans on getting 40 exalted before it went to 45 by going to even worst possible pugs there could be just to get rep from BT and Hyjal. All those ogres..furblogs..bog lords and flowers..mana tombs..zul'gurrub and AH.
Oh well, time to do 5 more. 19 weeks of molten core here I come! Oh and hello AQ how you doing. Oh did you call goblins? You need repeatable quest for hardly worth the effort rep income? I'm right on it.

Don't forget they also took away "The Keymaster" achievement. They did not even make it a feat of strength :(. I remember grinding that out on my main.

I find it curious that the issue has been all but ignored on wow insider; then again what is there to say, really? I cancelled my subscription over it. I have game time until May, which will work out since my interest in the game will have waned considerably once gardening season comes along.
It already feels like more habit than fun - so perhaps this was just the impetous I needed to end this four year hobby.

Really? You losing the ability to have a word after your character's name made you cancel your subscription? And when, assuming you liked it for its relative rarity and "prestige," this very adjustment will ensure that the title doesn't become a "Jenkins" as more reps are added to the game?
The level of nerd rage this game is capable of producing never ceases to amaze me.

There are many people who have canceled subs over it. Over at the blizzard general discussion forum there are 1750 posts (and growing) and 88 pages of responses in what, 31 hours? People are angry about this and I for one don't blame them. There was no warning about it and the Patch notes didn't even contain information about the removal until after it was done.
For me, I never ever considered going after 'the Exalted' cause I'd rather hit myself in the head with a hammer than grind out 40 exalted rep. But I know people who did, and truthfully, Exalted, to me, was one of the only titles that really meant something, the other was 'the Seeker'.
For those who spent, weeks, months and in some cases, years attempting to achieve these titles I completely understand the rage. I remember downing the LK with an awesome bunch of people and everyone ran around with 'the Kingslayer' titles proudly displayed except one of my best friends in game who was still sporting 'the Exalted'. I asked him about it and he laughed and said, "Kingslayer took a night, Exalted took 14 months, I'll never wear anything else".
I think for Blizz to just arbitrarily dismiss all the effort it took to obtain that title shows how distanced the company has moved from the most loyal fanbase in gaming. They could have at least gave the old 40 rep title a humorous one like 'the formerly Exalted' or something. Instead of big fat zilch-o.

I have to say this sounds rather moronic on the part of Blizzard. I mean, so they added 5 more factions and increased the cap to get the title by 5 factions. But let's consider WoW 5.0.1. No doubt new factions will be added to the game. Will they then take away the title of Exalted and require people to grind 5 *more* factions to get it back?
I think those who lost the title after working hard to get it have a right to be angry, and I think they destroyed incentive to get it back.
My main has been "Ambassador Amaxe" from the time the achievement system was implemented in 2008. I know if they had taken it away to grind Gilneas rep, I would have been justifiably angry.
I am angry to have lost the Keymaster achievement.
Blizzard needs to let stand what people have earned. Perhaps they raise the bar for some and turn others to feats of strength when elements no longer exist. However, to remove them without compensation is low. Maybe it's insignificant for those who have not, but for those who put some effort in it is inconsiderate.

That's a hell of a thing to say. It has nothing to do with a title next to your name and everything to do with time and money you put into the game to do something that doesn't give you phat lootz, the most I have on any toon is probably around 15 or so. But there are those that are very meaningful such as Netherwing or Timbermaw for example. This is no way to treat the meat and potatoes of your playerbase. That's right the people who log in day after day for 5-6 years should not be rewarded like this. They made an exception for WaLSTiB not sure why they didn't leave this as is. They also didn't take away explorer titles. In my opinion Exalted is way harder than both of those.

Yes, I did cancel, and it has nothing to do with nerd rage. It does however have everything to do with a fairly earned reward being stripped arbitrarily with no warning. This sets a bad precedent that Blizz will simply take away anything you've earned whenever they feel like it. To rub it in, the response from a blue poster on the forums was pretty much "This tilte is awesome, sorry you folks that earned it previously are no longer worthy, lol."
*That* is why I cancelled my sub.
I've had the title for about 3 weeks shy of one year, and I busted my a*s for it. Since there is no longer any point to working on achievements, I see no point in paying for this game.

Then of course there is the bug where some folks cannot enter dungeons (or get thru any load screen) if they are in a group. you HAVE to solo que, and cannot que with friends/guildmates.
