WoW Moviewatch: Alexstrasza
Back when it was released, Matt Low called it "the best thing since Chopsticks," while Ziebart himself said, "I love it, it's hilarious." By comparison, Mathew McCurley said, "I went from 'hate you' to 'love you' almost weirdly fast."
More recently, Robin said, "I am of course influenced by the fact that The Spawn likes to sing and dance to it with me. But it's a fun cover of a fun song, is lore-heavy and rather silly with the disappearing cape to show off her rear assets. Sharm's vocals are wonderful, as usual, and she completely outshines the original. I wish it started off more quickly, but the wait is worth it. And the first line cracks me up every time."

You know, the music takes me back too much to the Ace of Base days for me to really want to listen to this. When a song other than "All that She Wants" puts "All that She Wants" in my head, there's a problem.
Now I has a brainworm.

Your loss.

Don't ask me why, but the Deathwing dancing part cracks me up.
Zainir Feb 9th 2011 12:50PM
Thats because the Deathwing dancing is the best part of the entire movie. Big Bad...no rhythm.

why is the video quality so horrible?
Ice Feb 9th 2011 1:22PM
Not directly about the video but theres been HUGE chunck of old videos on this feature nowdays.
I know some of them deserve to be there but going over whole back-cataloque seems bit boring specially when I'm sure there has been some movies suggested *cough cough*

They're doing a "WoW Insider writers' favorites" series right now. So yes, that's kind of the point. They'll get back to showcasing more "new" machinima, don't worry.

I'd rather hoped that a second viewing of this would bring out this greatness that you guys talk about, but all it does is make me turn the sound down and look at Alexstrazsa's pixel-ass.
Maybe it's an acquired taste, but I hate the song.

I missed this one the first time around. The lyrics are fantastic.

Entertaining, some funny parts, like it. Dancing Deathwing ftw.
Just one gripe - really wish she would have found something else to ryhme on "Dragonqueen" because "Sister of She of the Dream" sounds horrible imho.

It does throw you for a loop at first, but after awhile, it doesn't sound so bad.

Ty is my guildie, it's kinda cool to have a minor wow-celeb in a heroic with you.
arcaneterror Feb 9th 2011 3:53PM
I just switch off my brain when I watch this - my rational mind can't stand the music, but I get by that easily enough. Mainly I just like watching the dragon-booty.
Hehehe.

Hmm, another good video I have never seen before. That rock I live under must be getting bigger every day.

Even the best lines lose their entertainment value when repeated over and over again. Even the best lines lose their entertainment value when repeated over and over again. It certainly is easy to rhyme dragons from the same flight.
