The Queue: Blue

My favorite color is blue, just like the Blue Man Group.
Emprise asked:
Why do I see multiple loading bars when I'm logging into the game now?
The larger bar is the overall progress in loading the data, the smaller bar is for data that is being downloaded right then and there from the Blizzard servers. This is how it was explained to me, and I've not seen anything that contradicts this.
Dr. Knox asked:
When I logged back in on patch day, got conquest capped, and finally went to purchase my 2ksomething Vicious Gladiator weapon, it turned out to have become a 3ksomething Vicious Gladiator weapon! I didn't see anything explaining this in the patch notes, though it's likely I've missed something. Does anyone have a definitive answer on this?
There's always one of two explanations for this: Either the changes didn't make it into the patch notes, or it's a tooltip bug -- usually the latter (as is confirmed in the comments left yesterday). Blizzard tries hard to include everything in the official patch notes and tries hard to have all the tooltips right, but there are thousands of them, and there are bound to be errors.
Ralethisolur asked:
So I just noticed today on my character sheet. below the AVG ilevel, there is a speed calc thing. This was not stated in any patch notes and wasn't in existence before 4.0.6? Why weren't we told about this?
Same as above -- the change just didn't make it into the patch notes. Neat change, though; thanks for bringing it to my attention. I used to have an addon that told me this, but it's good Blizzard put in in the default UI, too.
Dragonrose asked:
How does Sylvanas' corset stay up?
Matt had it right in the comments: double-sided tape.

@jealouspirate That's taken out of context.
(I was actually watching Season Three right before I read this article. Fun facts!)

Tobias Fünke the perfect example of a never-nude analrapist.
Asurmen Feb 10th 2011 2:06PM
I'm an analysist and a therapist, the world's only... (well, you all who know the show can fill in the blank)

@brasso: you must be flexible.
Bruce Feb 10th 2011 4:47PM
If you liked Arrested Development, check out "The increasingly poor decisions of Todd Margaret". Quite similar humor, and also has David Cross and Will Arnett.
Brasso Feb 10th 2011 5:56PM
@Bruce: Thanks for the suggestion. I'm always looking for shows like AD. Speaking of, Better off Ted is a pretty good show but got canceled after two seasons. (seems to happen to all good shows, doesn't it?) You can watch it instantly on Netflix.
Nospoon Feb 10th 2011 11:15PM
@ (cutaia) At least the movie is set to release sometime in the next couple of years.

So with the change to unholy mastery, where does it rank for unholy death knights?
Amrytale Feb 10th 2011 11:59AM
According to the math nerds at EJ, better than it was, but still not Haste.
Fossless Feb 10th 2011 11:06AM
MMmmmm Sylvanas
Pyromelter Feb 10th 2011 12:39PM
I didn't realize Sylvanas was a shirtless bald blue painted guy with glasses and chest hair.
Also... ew.

Actually, the speed display was in the patch notes.
Character Info Window
* Character movement speed is now displayed on the Character Info window (C) with all other stats
Mortis Feb 10th 2011 11:17AM
I thought I had seen that in the patch notes.
Untflanked Feb 10th 2011 11:08AM
Is that guy trying to catch an M&M? :O
Narayana Feb 10th 2011 12:13PM
If I remember the episode correctly, he's trying to catch a marshmallow. He was convinced that he was next in line to become a member of Blue Man Group and was practicing his art.
Drakkenfyre Feb 10th 2011 12:30PM
Little interesting thing. The Blue Man Group is actually composed of multiple members. They don't speak because then you would be able to tell them apart. They substitute in and out for themselves, and can do shows all over the world, because you don't know the identities of them. With the bald cap and makeup, they all look alike.
Maymer Feb 10th 2011 11:10AM
Any queue with an Arrested Development pic is a good queue....I do believe I just "blue" myself.
