Surprised they didn't fix the Whiptail spawning rate, herb prices are going to continue to drop until they fix this.

All herb respawn rates were increased, I thought?

If they drop to a point where it isn't worth your time farming and selling, they'll become less available, and the prices will go back up. You'll be back the bleeding people in no time.In the meantime, alchemists and instrictionadorinaterists are quite happy.

"herb prices are going to continue to drop until they fix this."Awwwww. So sorry you lost your cash cow. I'm an herbalist/alchemist, and I love the new spawn rate. I can finally collect enough herbs to make more than just 2 flasks and hour. Before this, it's actually been more efficient to do other things to earn money and just buy the flasks off the AH. I've never had so much trouble finding herbs in any other expansion; this just evens it back out.

for those who aren't familiar with the whiptail farming spot we're talking about:http://www.wowconfidential.com/professions/herbalism/whiptail-farming-spawn-rate-increase-patch-4-0-6/"more efficient to do other things to earn money and just buy the flasks off the AH"enough people will farm it that the gold/hr you'll get from farming whiptail will be back to peanuts and you'll do those other things again.. gathering will almost always be behind crafting professions for time worth spent making gold.

@kraklinYou missed my point. I'm trying to make flasks, not gold. It sucked that my time was better spent farming gold and buying the flasks than it was to hunt the herbs to make them for myself. Now if only the twilight jasmine would pick up this speed-growth mutation, I'd really be happy.

@egburrI flew around twilight highlands yesterday for about 3 hours or so and got 9 stacks of Jasmine and 4 of Cinderbloom. I'm fine with those proc rates, especially because Draconic Mind sells for an arm and a leg on my server.

Guess what, guys? If the supply is out of whack in either direction, it's not going to be a good thing-- except for those people who think the game should give them abundant supplies practically for free. Herbalists have just as much right to their profession be profitable, as Alchemists do. People selling mats at a reasonable profit doesn't make them greedy so-and-so's who are unfairly gouging their customers. And you don't need to be swimming in mats and have prices driven down to below vendor prices for it to be "fair". Those are both pretty extreme notions of how the Herbalism profession is supposed to work.Sorry, I just don't like the automatic response of some people that imply that Gathering professions shouldn't be profitable, but Crafting professions should be at Gatherers' expense.

I did the math before the patch went up and changed the requirements for Flask of the Draconic Mind. It would have cost me almost 1500g to make them myself or 1100g to buy 5 off the AH obviously other servers may vary.)I haven't had to do the math since the patch because I can finally farm for an hour and have plenty of mats to create my own. I am very happy with this change.
