They added the puff effect for when we mounted a while back. What was new for me was the puff when we dismounted.

And yes, I would prefer they eliminated both puffs along with the annoying sound.

Getting on and off my carpet, the puff completely encloses my gnome-sized body. Rather distracting and loud.
