a mirror would be awesome. some people's firewalls don't like where ever blizz hosts these patch files

You can't do mirrors anymore. It requires a little more than just running a file like it used to do.The Blizzard Downloader uses torrents, so if you are encountering a problem, it's probably because you have the ports for them turned off, or your network (if you are on a campus or job) has torrents blocked.

Yeah, it'd be nice if they'd release the mirror at the same time as the patch. Shouldn't have to turn off firewalls to play. And some people (college students, military, etc.) don't even have the option of turning it off.

I just used the mirror for 4.0.6 Tuesday since I was at work. You have to clear out some files but it worked like a charm.

i'm at work and i can't disable the network firewall or open ports. yes, it is because of how blizzard hosts these files. i keep having to copy my whole wow folder from home every time there's a patch.

A work firewall stopping you from downloading patches to World of Warcraft?Uh...working as intended? :P

@"Drakkenfyre"You can definitely still do mirrors. You just need to know what files to share. I upload some for the Mac Tech Support forums all the time as well as my buddies from the main tech support forums. You just need to know where to look for them :)
