He could have been talking about FF14 (in terms of being dumb when breaking some pretty clear cut rules).

I still can't get over the fact that I spent 80+ dollars on the paper weight.

if that's how you feel consider myself that forked out for the collectors edition because it had an authenticator. I use that stupid map that came with it to blow my nose xD

@Wulfhound. It one very nice looking paperweight though!
Have the box on my desk to remind me never to buy a game I know is going to fail.
Almost bought Rift on Steam just for the hell of it then I saw my FFXIV collectors edition box and remembered my golden rule "There's always something nicer to buy than a bad MMO".

I feel badly for the replacement project manager who was handed a hot mess, a broken game and angry fans. He's trying very hard to get all the features implemented to the game that players had been asking for, such as the ability to jump, as well as an auction house and official forums. If only this new project manager had been there from the start, FF14 might have been worthwhile at launch, instead of one or two years down the road. Hopefully in the future Squeenix will pay attention to what players are telling them instead of assuming the brand name will cause the masses to love the product.
