There will be times where you should use Flash Heal instead of Heal or Greater Heal but it shouldn't be all the time. If it happens almost every single time (it will happen occasionally if you try to use a long cast when you need a fast cast) try using Renew to buy yourself extra time between each heal. This is the perfect use for Renew as a disc priest. If you have Prayer of Mending off cooldown, opt to toss that out before you start casting too.
