An in-depth look at World of Warcraft action figures series 8
Some video footage of the new DC Unlimited's series 8 of the World of Warcraft action figures has surfaced, thanks to Toy Fair 2011 and Kotaku. This video shows not only series 8, but series 7 and the premium series 3 and 4. This is all a great extension of the last time we took a look at these figures. To recap, series 7 features:
- Human paladin Judge Malthred
- Orc rogue Garona Halforcen
- Worgen spy Garm Whitefang
- Gnome rogue Brink Spannercrank
- Kobold miner Snaggle
- Forsaken priestess Confessor Dhalia
- The Black Knight
- Garrosh Hellscream
- Troll hunter Taz'Dingo
- The Headless Horseman
- Moonkin Wildmoon
I am personally very excited about these figures. I preordered my very own Headless Horseman and Worgen Spy at BlizzCon 2010, and should be receiving both around June or July. Considering I own many of the figures myself, they are a must-have for any World of Warcraft fan. The quality of the figures are superb, and unless you're picking up one of the premiums, the price is usually around the twenty dollar mark (depending on where you purchase them from).
You can find out more information and find out how to find some of your own at the DC Unlimited website. It can direct you to stores in your area that carry the figures, and soon you'll be starting your own collection.

My word, that paladin figure is astounding. He just looks ready to lay down some holy smack down.

My thoughts exactly! I've never bought a wow action figure, but that paladin might change that. He looks freaking awesome!

@lemons
my first wow action figure might be the forsaken priestess :)

Seriously, Blizzard? A Garrosh figurine?
Give it up. Cataclysm failed to make players like him (although anyone who played through Stonetalon ought to hate him a tiny bit less), he's a terrible, one-dimensional character and we want him to become a raid boss so we can be rid of him.
Saurfang would have been a better choice for warchief. Eitrigg would have been a better choice. Rexxar would have been a better choice. They had a wealth of great orcish characters they could have used, but instead created one with absolutely none of the charisma the others possess.

Maybe Bliz wants you to hate Garrosh. Not every leader and figurehead in fiction and reality are upstanding individuals, there are plenty of tyrants. I also think replacing Thrall with any if the other suitable candidates would have lessened the impact that we lost such a wise leader in the first place. Honestly I feel Garrosh is a placeholder for Thrall and we will see him brought back at the end of this expansion or possibly in another expansion, and having a tyrant for a leader now will make that transition more dynamic. Just my humble opinion.

Me and all my friends love Garrosh, he's a badd ass mofo that;s gonna lay the hordie smackdown.
His model is lame tho.

Speak for yourself. Myself and a lot of other players I know think Garrosh is awesome.

when can I finally buy series 7? I want my paladin and worgen, but the pre-order dates keep getting knocked back further and further
Cadychan Feb 14th 2011 7:16PM
When I preordered the Worgen, they told me July. :( The Headless Horseman will be coming out in March-ish, but I'm getting them shipped together. So...no figures for me until summer. XD

What's most telling about the paladin figure is that he's in Judgement. How sad that we reached the pinnacle of armor design back on T2 lol

Who decided to name the Troll Taz'dingo? That's a /cheer emote for Trolls... its like naming your child "Yipee!".
... that being said, if he didn't have the mohawk, I'd be all about it (sorry, but all my Trolls have the Zabra Hex hair style: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3065/2906012734_d224d12a22.jpg).

Also, is that Forsaken Death Knight doing the "happy happy joy joy" dance, or am I just seeing things?
Sports72Xtrm Feb 14th 2011 10:09PM
Interesting that Priestess Dhalia is labeled as a "Forsaken Princess". Coup'de tat on the way for Sylvannas?
