Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite piece of music in WoW?
World of Warcraft is a game with great sound and great sound design. Players might not always notice it, but for those of us who play with the music on, these themes can really set the tone for the game. Ashenvale music never fails to remind me of my first foray into the zone; after Darkshore, which was a bit bleak, my baby druid stepped into Ashenvale and it seemed like all of Azeroth opened up, wide and colorful and filled with swelling orchestral tracks. Though the game world seems much smaller to me now, I still remember that moment whenever I hear the Ashenvale theme.
My favorite piece of WoW music, however, has got to be the one in Mulgore. I play mainly Alliance, so I don't go there often, but every time I visit the zone for the Darkmoon Faire or head to Thunder Bluff for some holiday achievement, I'm struck by the beauty and tranquility of the Mulgore music. It really fits the environment, and it never fails to relax me when I fly through. The slow, soft yearning reminds me of the Tauren people and their culture, while the undercurrent of tension hints at the conflict brewing in the world outside that secluded valley.
What's your favorite piece of WoW music? Does it remind you of a particular time or a nostalgic feeling, or is it the pure beauty of the composition that you admire? When do you feel the WoW music is at its most epic?

The new Elwynn Forest music/Westfall/Redridge music has to be my favorite. i could listen to it over and over again. It's a breath of fresh air mixed with a little nostalgia. There is also some invigorating Night Elf music I could hear in Hyjal, but I never could get its name either.

YES!!! I love this song to death. I'm using it as a solo for a Dance creation class this semester.

Amazing amazing amazing song. I don't even play a night elf but I wish I did when I hear that, it's everything that being a night elf is.
Rift of Aln is fantastic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UWaMhz7HO6Q
I really like Feralas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=su6mGRJHVS0
The one I can't stand is the one they use in Eastern Plaguelands and Felwood (I can't find it on Youtube.) It's got this blaring 'duh duh duh duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh' sound repeated every so often that I find really unpleasant (which is the point, I suppose!)

All of the Night Elf music is amazing, the new ones included. My all time favorite will always, always, always be Song of Elune. I was running through Ashenvale at some point on some long lost toon when I heard it for the first time... it was one of those times you can feel your stomach stirring and your eyes watering when a piece of music washes over you.

@Sorcha
Ugh, I know what music you're referring to, and I completely agree. It certainly gives off the right mood, but if you're actually in the zone for any period of time it's absolutely teeth-grinding to hear it repeat over and over. I have to turn the music off for that piece, it's just annoying as hell. I have the same feeling about Icecrown zone music as well. Same thing, a repetitive dull sound.

Grizzly Hills makes me want to learn the fiddle

For me, it's a toss up between "Cold Mountain" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q45qsQEtlG4) and "Arthas, My Son" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBTThmI99Vo).
The former I heard one early morning when I'd stopped mid-flight while doing Archaeology, and there was something incredibly sweeping and magestic, yet held an almost sorrowful tone that caught my attention.
"Arthas, My Son" was simply an epic track that built up and up, telling the opening story for WotLK as much as the actual cinematic did. I adore Invincible, but this one beats it out for sure.

Grizzly Hills is far and away my favorite.

Does anyone know if there's an addon to call up a specific piece of music ingame?
(Other than iTunes, of course.)

Grizzly Hills is my absolute favorite

As @lowlight says, Grizzly Hills always comes to mind first, but I'm finding all the Cata music incredibly evocative. The track on the CD called "Defenders of Azeroth" (which plays at a number of locations around the game, including Elwynn I believe) makes my heart ache. There is less that feels as fiercely heroic in Cata compared to Wrath's areas, but I think Cata is more sweepingly epic.
I heard Blizzard's music live at Blizzcon 4(?) years ago, when they brought VideoGamesLive! to the finale of the convention, and I've never heard the game's music quite the same way after that -- it's not just background music I can ignore, but a living breathing element of the game. I'm impressed (guess you can tell, eh?)!

The music from Karazhan fits the theme of that place perfectly.

I think Blizz took it out at some point (maybe it's back in now though?) but I love the music that used to play when you took a zeppelin to Northrend. It reminds me of the night Wrath first came out and I first boarded the zeppelin, ready to grind my way to 80.
For reference, this is the music I'm talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcvVu8mCGIM
