It's not just Fox. You make it sound like it's a political issue and all gamers are liberals, and all the ones who hate us are dirty, dirty conservatives. You couldn't be more wrong and it's a poor way to polarize the issue.

Gaming is almost universally seen as the less productive hobby for nerds and poor social adaptors. I've seen this characterization on CNN, Fox, CBS, and ABC. They all love sensationalism, which appeals more to the couch demographic who have nothing going on in their personal lives and need something to be afraid about.
