I tried to get the thing started around ToC with our first Anub'arak kill, but it never really took off. Of course, just having a guild site at all never went anywhere, at most I had about 4 people register since we were always a casual raiding guild, so while we were great raiders, most didn't want to spend much time outside of the game doing stuff involving the game.
Nowadays I've given up raiding beyond a weekly BH to focus on my art and school, but I still take pics if I think the occasion's worthy. A few weeks ago we did a mostly-guild kill of the raid-rare out in Twilight Highlands. Took a lot of gathering of members (we started off thinking we could do it with just 5, expanded slowly to about 10) and fighting off a surprisingly few Horde, but since none of us had done it before we took a picture.
Then I joined a pickup Whale Shark group. Even though most of us didn't know each other we still took a picture, though that one was much more epic since he died sticking halfway out of the water, which from above the sea just made him look even more huge.
I do appreciate a skillfully-edited kill shot though, and I'm jealous of leaders who can get their members to stop fidgeting for 30 seconds and take one.
