2200 rating PvP weapons now available for purchase

I posted this in another thread but wanted to post here as well so everyone is aware:
I'll be brief and direct. The PvP item vendors were a little slow on stocking their shelves. They should have them restocked shortly (give or take a few extra if need be.)
They should have these weapons available very soon. We'll keep an eye on things should there be further delays.

They should be available now. We'll be watching just in case any further issues arise with these vendors.
Shortly after Cataclysm's release, players' ability to equip and use 2,200 rating PvP weapons was removed from the game. The move was intended to prevent these high-level items from interfering with PvE progression -- Blizzard developers didn't want PvP to be a prerequisite to PvE raiding. Now that more and more players are entering (and downing) heroic raiding content, it appears that Blizzard developers are finally willing to allow these powerful weapons to be used.

I guess this confirms PVP isn't 'harder' than PVE.

Did you break out the trusty "Jump to Conclusions Mat" for that one?

I can't see how people can give PvP a difficulty. In PvP you're playing against other people, therefore it's difficulty is directly relative to how good you and your opponents are. You might 'get' PvP utterly and completely and be the absolute best person in the world with next to zero effort. On the other hand you could be terrible, losing to critters in duels.
Compare this to PvE, where most content is HARD to begin with, no matter how good you are. Yes, it gets easier over time, but that's only as you get to know the specific fights after investing large amounts of time, every single time more content comes out.

Actually what this confirms is that PvP can be impacted PvE (even if only once in a blue moon).
And if I may take the time to get all childish and give a Nelson, "HA-HA," really, we should stand together and encourage Blizz to design PvP to be fun in its own way and PvE in its own way. If there's overlap, that's fine but where ability X is OP in scenario Y, adjust it only within that scenario and no other.

Cool, all this means for me is that I'll get hit harder in BGs, since I don't run a 3's or 5's team, but I'm happy for those who'll be able to upgrade :)

If those are rated battlegrounds, you're in luck - that's counted in the rating too.

For those of us who die by the PvP sword only, this is bad news as world pvp will be that much more difficult to escape.

This will have next to no effect on ganking, actually :)

I think they had disabled the weapons originally because of a bug that let you inflate the hell out of your personal rating. You could get 2200 within the first week they started the season. So they had to try to fix something about it, and just disabled the weapons for a time.

GJ Blizzard, just in time for Frost Mages to faceroll with 2200 Weapons.
I guess thats why just about every Melee got nerfed in 4.0.6

Hurray!
Since I am limited in doing any 5-man instance and raids are totally out of the question I can now purchase Item 370ish PvP gear, Yay!....What?
Only for rated battle ground and arena points?
Fuck.
