What WoW mobile app would you like to see next?

For those of us who simply can't get enough WoW time in while we're in front of a computer, Blizzard has already created the Mobile Armory and Mobile Auction House applications. We can look up character stats, achievements, gear, and talents as well as buy, sell, and collect gold from our auction house deals. These are very cool tools to give yourself a little more Warcraft on the go or at work.
I think there are a lot more possibilities, though. There's a new app out there that can solve sudoku puzzles just by taking a picture of them. There's an app that can tell you where you are based on star constellations or tell you what the sky looks like above you based on your GPS and the angle of your phone.
Don't you think WoW could take advantage of some of these amazing advances in phone technology? What about an app for crafting? It could work in conjunction with the auction house application and let you do crafting from your smart phone. I can picture an easy interface that would be similar to our in-game crafting menu, showing the recipes with the sort by categories such as item type, materials on hand, or gem color. Of course, considering how fast our technology is rolling out, it might not be too long before we could see a slimmed-down version of Warcraft in our hands. Can you imagine WoW Lite? It probably wouldn't be suitable for raiding, but questing, gathering, or maybe easy dungeons could be a blast on a long bus ride.
Would you get excited about a crafting app or WoW Lite, or is there another application idea you've been dying to see Blizzard develop?

With a possible mobile version of Minecraft I don't see how we could not see a crafting type app for our profession.

You have logged in.
--> Search Engineering - Bio-Optic Killshades
You do not have the materials to make that item. Missing: One Chaos Orb, Two Hardened Adamantite.
--> Find materials
You find 20 Adamantite and 8 Volatile Earth. Your dungeon group was bad, so you ragequit. You did not find the Chaos Orb.

Well I'm still waiting to get the ingame guild chat I was promised a while back. But I'd love to have the ability to mail items between characters and do crafting while killing time at work.

I'd love this, but I think I'd stop logging on most of the time if there was an out-of-game guild chat :P

A WoW chat client would be awesome.

I'd kill for an official forum browsing app, honestly. Cruising the forums from my iPhone isn't too bad, but having a more streamlined app for it would make my life at work much more enjoyable.

I was just going to say that. I would love a forum browsing app, my work days would become so unproductive :D
And Sark, from GH??

I'm still waiting for a decent (read full) version of the Armory app for Android. C'mon Blizzard, hook us non-Apple appers up!
PyroFlyX Feb 23rd 2011 8:31PM
I agree. Android has currently surpassed iPhone in overall sales and rate of spread. Where is the Android love?

I second this.

Been waiting for this for a long long long time. Last thing I saw when searching for info about this was a Blue in the forums saying that she will pass the idea on to the devs.

As an iPhone user, I also agree with you. Really, just more development on mobile platforms in general. The Mobile Armory for iPhone is far from perfect and rarely sees updates.

still waiting for the armory app for android
rice2007 Feb 24th 2011 10:41AM
Uh, there is a mobile armory app for android. Check the market. I have it.
rice2007 Feb 24th 2011 10:45AM
Wait, that's AH. Too early in the morning. Sorry.
There is nothing official but as far as I know, there are two armory apps for the Droid.

A mobile real id chat would be awesome.
Hih Feb 24th 2011 4:10AM
I don't understand the appeal of a "real id chat" app sort of thing. Between Facebook, email, instant messangers, texts, and phone calls, having an IM that's just for real id friends seems... redundant.
Real ID is useful in game when you're playing SC2 and they're playing WoW and you can talk using the in game interface.. but if you're not playing a game... just.. contact them how you always have before...?
gamerunknown Feb 24th 2011 4:39AM
I have my WoW friend's emails but not their phone numbers!
That and it can be awkward knowing when to text someone, but Real ID has a handy away feature.

Blizzard is probably collecting money from our various employers NOT to develop these apps.

How about getting the authenticator available for more mobile phones first?
