Heh. I've never really thought about it as being a defined "role" - we always have one when it's needed, but it's not always the same person, someone just starts doing it for a particular fight, and then keeps doing it. If it's a tank-swap fight, sometimes the tanks will swap calling, too. When it's something like "kill that add right now or we die", sometimes the whole raid will yell it out, which isn't necessarily bad. People who call out cardinal directions for deep breaths (and we have such people in our raid) bug me, though. By far the most useful shout for the position of deep breath is either "here", or "not here". I'd say I'm about 10 times less likely to get deep breathed on under that system than any other. And yes, every negative aoe on the ground is totally either fire or a void zone.
