The Queue: Ugh

350 comments on yesterday's Queue and barely any questions? The only cure for this headache is an adorable ungulate, and the above royal antelope fits the bill. He is the world's smallest ungulate and his legs are like little bendy straws.
Cutaia asked:
How much do you hate Adam right now for making you sift through 30 pages of congratulatory comments to find 3 questions?
Normally I would be super, super grumpy about it, but Adam getting engaged kind of owns, so I'm giving him a free pass on this one. Just this once. Congratulations, Adam.
AudreyR asked:
I asked yesterday, but any word on what's going to happen with Mojo once ZA is changed in 4.1?
No.
Ice asked:
Any speculations whats the OTHER raid of 4.1 going to be apart from Firelands?
There are bits of datamined information in the 4.1 PTR that allude to the War of the Ancients raid, though there's no guarantee. Blizzard is being oddly ambiguous about what raid content is actually in 4.1. Worryingly ambiguous, in fact.
nonentity asked:
What do you think are the odds of the Blood Elf (and subsequently Draenei) areas finally also being reworked for Cata (I'm guessing it'd be mainly Silvermoon anyway), enabling us to fly there, with a new dungeon being located there?
Blizzard has stated that it has no intention of redoing the Silvermoon and Azuremyst areas or reworking them to enable flying at this time. Maybe at some point in the future.
Fradinn asked:
Yesterday I'm leveling my warrior in the Twilight Highlands. The sky goes red, the jaws music starts running through my head, and I wait for the glory of being burnanatored by Deathwing. And I wait, and wait, and wait. Finally the sky goes back to normal and I'm still alive. Is my gear so uber that I should main tank the final raid right now or does Deathwing have his limits?
The whole zone goes red when Deathwing does his flyover, but only a certain area will get scorched.

Fradinn: Hellfire EU?
I had the same experience there, rather than be disappointed, i was relieved to miss out.
fire+death = bad. even if there are x arbitrary points awarded for it.

I've experienced this as well. I think it may have something to do with the Crucible of Carnage. When a group fights the last boss (fire dude) the surrounding area turns orange...similar to the deathwing flyover.
Nick Feb 26th 2011 12:20PM
/1 went a bit mental though, and I was down by the starting area - i only hit 84 yesterday. Maybe you're right though - we'll never know!
audawak Feb 26th 2011 12:27PM
If Fradinn was anywhere near the Crucible of Carnage while leveling when this happened, it likely wasn't Deathwing at all, but Emberscar the Devourer, the final boss of the Crucible of Carnage quest chain. One of his attacks causes the sky to turn red in the area as he attacks players with a firestorm.

I was questing in the Twilight Highlands when it happened. I had 6 Dwarves on me and one of them was the shaman for the daily.
All were close to dead. Boom, wall of fire, achievement and every NPC is dead.
I was still short 3 insignias.
So, wait to rez, do so and all the NPCs are in a fire and I can't see them.
5 minutes later I gave up and decided to go do some archeology. There's a nearby digsite in Loch Modan. Fly over, start surveying, sky tuns red...
I was being stalked by the Aspect of Death.
Drahken Feb 26th 2011 1:52PM
I had that happen in Uldum. When nothing happened, I flew around to at least find his fire trail because I know they changed it so you could die and get the achievement from ACTUALLY standing in the fire he leaves behind. No dice. I stood in that fire for over five minutes and nothing happened. On a later date, I started to fly over Winterspring and found his fire trail. Same thing happened: nothing. Did they change it back so it DOESN'T kill you?

I had a weird deathwing experience also. I was standing in the inn at darkshire in duskwood when my random dungeon popped. After completing it and teleporting out i ran out of the inn to discover the whole town on fire and the red sky.
Missed it by thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat much................

That's happened to me twice so far in Uldum and once in EPL. With the way they described the event at the beginning of Cata, I was under the impression that DW completely sterilized the entire zone - killing all critters, npc's, players, etc. Apparently, he just scours a very specific area for a few minutes and bails.
Sir Broose Feb 26th 2011 9:17PM
I actually got the achievement on my druid, but in the lamest way possible. I was inside a building in TH and I just fell over dead. I didn't see anything. I didn't even know what had happened until all the chatter started in /1. The achievement banner came up, but I was so surprised, I didn't notice it, at first. My first instinct was to check and see if I was PvP flagged, because I thought I had been ganked.

On the subject of Mojo, I think it's important to observe that IT NO LONGER TAKES FIVE PEOPLE TO GET IN. Harrison still tells you five people in his dialogue, but the doors will open with just you banging the gong. You can easily solo-farm the trash for the sticks. I finally got around to it a few days ago, and it took me maybe a dozen of them. Good luck, fellow pet collectors!
AudreyR Feb 26th 2011 1:39PM
I realize that, but have atrocious luck even getting the hex sticks to drop. Just was curious how worried I shod be getting.
fallemwarrior Feb 26th 2011 12:11PM
I,m personally hoping for another raid to have the Hyjal feel too it when everyone's working together for a changed instead of trying to get everyone else killed
The war of the ancients seems like a perfect place to do this
Also i'm hoping to see Brox the most awesome warrior to ever live
Eberron Feb 26th 2011 1:06PM
Brox isn't qualified to hold Saurfang's boot laces.
Only reason he went to hit Sargeras instead of Saurfang is the Bronze Dragonflight knew that if they sent Saurfang back in to the past he'd have cleaved Azshara, her demon guard and Rhonin apart in one swipe thus making Knaak furiously re-write it to make Rhonin invincible only to realize that every time pen when to paper one truth remained: Saurfang cleaves all.
Plus Saurfang would've come back through the portal holding Sargeras head snorting, "Now lets go watch some nubs kill the Lich King. If shit gets real, I'll solve it."
Boobah Feb 26th 2011 1:49PM
Er... you know Brox's full name is Broxigar Saurfang, right?
llaw_grimm Feb 26th 2011 2:20PM
Yea..... a Saurfang is a Saurfang. Brox did a bang-up job, hell, he got a shot in on Sargeras. Thats something in itself.
To say Varrock would do any better? Couldnt say, but I think Brox prolly had it down to an art.
Ronin Feb 26th 2011 2:37PM
Figures, the guy who doesn't even realize that Brox _is_ Saurfang, gets up-rated for including the silly meme about Saurfang.
cidninja Feb 26th 2011 5:09PM
brox is lame writing.

Raid decisions would be a lot easier for my guild if the loot ratio for 25 mans was slightly higher as Blizzard originally stated it would. Any word on why it remained the same as the 10 man ratio?
Luminaris Feb 26th 2011 12:17PM
Correct me if I am wrong, but 25 mans give 6 pieces of loot, 10 mans 2, for it to be the same ratio, you would need 30 people in the 25 man raid. Also, 90 valor points per boss in 25 mans as opposed to 70 in 10.
Revynn Feb 26th 2011 12:44PM
The ratio -is-higher. However, it's entirely possible for duplicates of the same item to drop on 25 (in fact, it happens ALOT) and that's probably what's causing the confusion. Perhaps you're flipping to the second page of the loot window and seeing another Belt of Arcane Storms and thinking it's the same one?
