I am in complete agreement, Kia. It is unbelievable Blizzard designed a talent tree that revolves around one spell then is surprised that players use that one spell a lot. Blizzard then has the gall to nerf the hell out bubbles to "encourage" (read force) players to cast other spells when none of these other spells are adequately supported by the discipline tree.

Um.. from my understanding, the largest reason for the nerf to shield was because HOLY priests were using a specific spec, which coupled with their other abilities made healing laughably easy. So, to offset this, blizz upped the mana cost. But to 'balance' this out they increased the amount absorbed. Now they are looking at shortening the duration to make it harder to have 'coverage'.I think the true solution would have been to leave Shield as it was. Swap Soul Warding[tier 2] and Renewed Hope[tier 3], and increase the amount our mastery buffed PW: Shield.There. Now Holy priests can't shield spam. Our Mastery bonus becomes more useful. We still have to cast more shields, more often, because the shield 'base' absorbed is less. And we don't go f'n OOM just because we had to shield 3 of our people while trying to heal the tank.
