The Queue: Across the Pond

Amy Pond. That is all.
Interfico asked...
So is there any info on what will be dropping in patch 4.1 new dungeons and raids? I dont want to spend my valors on an item only to find out that i couldve gotten something just as good in the dungeons.
We don't know the exact drops yet. I'd guess within the next few weeks we'll see them. We know via datamining some item level 378 and 391 trinkets, but that's all, really.
Kazdur asked...
If a guild mate and I both queue for a random heroic as DPS and Healer to let the game decide who gets the lovely job of healing, are there any mechanics behind the scenes that decide which of us heals? Does it look to see who has the better ilevel? Or is it merely a coin toss? Thanks.
While IANB (I am not Blizzard), I believe in this situation you would each have equal chances of getting selected as the healer.
Ostentaneous asked...
Speaking of GMs. Where are they based out of? Do they work from home or is there a call center type place somewhere and where do you apply for that job?
GMs (and everyone else at Blizzard in the United States) work out of Irvine, California, and Austin, Texas. Across the pond (Amy Pond, there -- that's where I got the title for today's Queue), I know they at least work out of Paris (and Cork, Ireland; thanks comments!) , if not elsewhere in Europe too. And as Drakkennfyre pointed out, they're all office jobs, not work-at-home gigs (like WoW Insider is).

Karen Gillan indeed...*drools*

Love
She's what happens when gnomes and dranai have babies and they dress up as policemen.

I don't know what everyone sees in her. I thought Donna Noble was the best "new series" companion.
SamLowry Mar 1st 2011 3:39PM
Pfft...what about Leela, or Romana, or Nyssa (can't forget her--met her at a con). And then there's Ace, but that's kinda icky.
Wulfkin Mar 1st 2011 5:08PM
Nyssa was pretty hot. Especially in Terminus with it's "i'll spend the whole episode wandering around in this tiny nightie' storyline.
However Amy Pond > All. Its the Scottish redhead + attitude combo. :D

Donna Noble was awesome. She was his best mate. And she went from just being a temp from Chiswick to...yeah. I loved her.

Amy's great and all, but I'm still not over losing the Tenth Doctor :(
Especially the weird things his eyebrows did and his occasional, "What? ...What? ...What?"

11>10. David Tennant had some really good bits, but Matt Smith took those good bits, and based his whole performance around them. Also, Karen Gilliam is just about the hottest person on TV at the moment.

Man, today's Queue seems very brief.
Guess I'll have to go back to enjoying the sweet ambrosia that is paladin tears on the Tanking forum.
Nina Katarina Mar 1st 2011 11:13AM
Top it off with the druid tears over DKs getting brez and you've got an intoxicating blend.
MattKrotzer Mar 1st 2011 11:14AM
Agreed. Who needs Weight Watchers? I'm going on an all-liquid diet!
Daynthebold Mar 1st 2011 11:17AM
And for a chase, warrior tears over losing more utility.

Nina, I honestly wouldnt count being raised as a ghoul as a battle rez, as you can't use your own abilities as a result. Ghouls are pretty limited in what they can do, so the utility is just not there. This is not going to result in DKs replacing warlocks or druids, it would be a last-ditch, desperation, nothing-else-is-available thing.
MattKrotzer Mar 1st 2011 11:25AM
LOSING utility? Must be different patch notes than the one I saw.
The only warrior complaints I've seen are PvP Prot Warriors, who are upset about the Spell Reflect cooldown changes and loss of an extra silence with Shield Bash's removal.
The rest of us Prots are pretty much celebrating, though. Pretty nice buffs, really.
Grovinofdarkhour Mar 1st 2011 11:25AM
DKs getting WHA....?!?!?!
Sterb Mar 1st 2011 11:27AM
Maclean37, DKs have always had the raise ally as a ghoul. The PTR has changed Raise Ally to a full on battle rez (and instant no less).
