I think disc might be getting a raw deal in your Atramedes appraisal. We're plainly not going to be awesome raid healers due to the current meddlings and shoe horning of our spec, so on a fight like Atramedes we just have to be ready to play to our strengths and not try to be something the designers dont want us to be :)There is still a tank that needs healing for a start! I use AA Spec and its very efficent for minding the tank and melee, its also pretty nifty on the air phases. PW:S are also handy for folk dodging around in air phases, so that when we collapse back together for a ground again, people are in stronger shape. Be it 10 or 25 man we are not expected to solo topup the raid, but we can still bring our own little share to the table with PoH>DA>PoH-Glyph and do our part to to keep everyone that little bit safer while the AoE Heal pros pump out their good stuff. PW:B doesn't get a chance to shine as there is so much movement in the fight, however using an alternative glyph choice to increase healing on everyone within it by 10% can be some real breathing space when Searing Flames is on the way. While I'll hands down agree that Circle Lightwell and Body & Soul are utterly brillant on this fight I think Disc has its place depending on the healing team setup and the Disc priest having a role that aligns with our playstyle at present. If you want to heal this as Disc it is completely viable.
