I'm still not convinced that expertise isn't a necessary cap stat for all specs. Is there an article about this somewhere?

Whoa! EJ is technically out of date and will be for quite some time until somebody else picks up Consider's work. That said, expertise isn't necessarily required for Unholy because the spec isn't GCD-capped and a large portion of its damage (Diseases, Death Coil, pet damage) isn't affected by the stat, whereas only diseases manage to dodge the expertise requirement for Frost.

you should definitely expertise cap your unholy dk. why? because you ARE gcd capped anytime there is a haste proc in effect. you know.. things like bloodlust? which is saved for the most crucial burn phase?

The math incorporates Heroism and Unholy Frenzy. It's still not worth it to cap it unless you have so much expertise that you still have 26 even after reforging all of it off.If you have that much you've made a gearing mistake somewhere along the line, however.

yes you are correct, since consider has stopped doing their guides it has dropped off a little if you know of another decent dk blogger let me know i used to go by Skeletonjack but he quit as well, while i didnt totally agree with some of considers ideas he was the best that i had come across for dps purposes
