From what I can tell, until you get to heroic gear, the TANKING Boots of Sullen Rock pretty much beat out everything else for Unholy. The extra Str. more than makes up for the wasted parry after you reforge what you can into haste. The Woe Breeder's Boots *might* be marginally better, but I'd save em for dead last in my valor point shopping list...

(Oh, and your note about haste and crit being the worst combo? You just mean for frost, right? I thought it was haste>mastery>exp>crit. once we hit the 8% hit cap as Unholy...)

Old math there. The change to Unholy's mastery makes mastery a lot better than crit, especially with the shift of your damage proportions more onto your diseases and SS from your pets.
