Public Service Announcement: Don't file false GM reports

Support forum agent Nevalistis points out that false reports are is against the Game Master interaction policy. Each GM petition is taken seriously, and if the GMs see a pattern of frivolous or false reports, they can and will take action from warnings all the way up to suspension or permanent account closure.
Those of us who have tried to petition a GM lately know how long the queue times are -- so from all of us with legitimate problems, please make sure your ticket is legit. It may save your account, it may save a GM's sanity, and it'll certainly help those with real problems get the help they need a little faster.

I don't know where you worked customer service but at Dell I would take 5 calls per hour and at least 3 per day was some douchebag lying through his/her teeth trying to get free parts or gain access to a corporate account he/she obviously had no business calling for.
Again working for teleperformance (contracted for sprint) I dealt with people trying to get charges removed from their accounts, free upgrades for phones and let out of their contracts for ridiculous reasons like "My phone only has 3 bars in my apt building but my friends verizon phone has 4"
Maybe I'm just unlucky but a good percentage of people I had to deal with were lying cheap skates looking for a free ride.

I thought Dell outsourced their tech support to India?

Customer "recovery" specialist for 10 years.
I actually looked at our call stats at one of my previous jobs. In a given hour, we had over 1000 customers call, 900-ish were just to place orders. 100 or so were complaints, the rest were inquiries or compliments. Out of those hundred, not every one was a liar.. and yea, I agree, you can tell when someone is pushing for more than they deserve, but the numbers don't lie either.
Had similar numbers cited to me at another job too. Maybe it's just Canada where the amount of people out to game the system are low.
