Is there an addon that can semi-automate this, like some sort of in-game checklist based on class and raid comp?

Well, there are addons that will tell you what buffs you're missing, which doesn't help you if you want something to check what you have, since you always run into the problem that the addon just stopped working. I can't remember one off the top of my head, though, but that might be what you're looking for.

RBS (Linked above) Has a "Self" setting which should do pretty much what you wanted, sans pet settings.

You might want to try Raid Buff Status - works on raids as well as 5 mans, checking your stats/buffs and everyone else's, including what they should do and what you should do for others, where appropriate
