Ok, seems it won't post past the "less than three"... Let's try one more time...Don't have a Shaman but I love you for the Doctor Who reference. By the way, for those who haven't heard: The new season starts on April 23ed on BBC America.

I know! I'm so excited! and I REALLY hope Matt Smith quits after it... He just isn't Doctor material!(P.S. I love how the article is about Mastery, and the picture is of the Master... Whom I love! :P)
3-10-2011 @ 10:01PM
@Eregos: You should really quit watching. You just aren't Doctor Who fan material...

[hands Voodie a couple of '<3's]There ya go bud. For the next time you someone references Doctor Who (which on this site is inevitable).(btw, comments can't have <s typed as such, but you can type < and it converts for you)

Thanks for the up votes. I suppose it's good to know that my embarrassing moment is, at the very least, amusing! ^.~@Eregos ftw! - Really? I adore him. Not as much as David, but I think Matt's done a brilliant job making the role his own. I don't think even Tom Baker could have followed up David Tennet and made people happy. Not to mention Amy Pond is the hotness and Rory is the man. (who waited.) Plus, everyone knows bow ties are cool.

I knew posting that I didn't like the Eleventh Doctor would get me rage! I don't know, he just seems... unimpressive to me. The other doctors (Eccleston and Tennent especially) had a fantastic aura of 'I-know-everything-and-I'm-brilliant!'. Matt just... doesn't.
3-10-2011 @ 11:09PM
@EregosMatt Smith is better than David Tennant (This is war)

Also don't have a shaman but kinda had to comment on the Doctor Who pic. Various reasons why the Master is definitely an Elemental Shammy though while we are on the subject: He can cast chain lightning. He makes use of reincarnation. He struck fear into the hearts of the alliance (before Burning Crusade).

@HugoWell, looks like you have someone else to go to war with. I've got nothing against Matt Smith, but it's going to take a few decades to find a better Doctor than David Tennant. (After the writers figure out how to get past the 12 regenerations bit--again going back to The Master. Hehe.)

@jorge I believe they're going to ignore that bit of canon entirely, sadly enough.I'm liking Matt Smith, just for different reasons. I also like Tennant and Eccleston. When I think of the Doctor my brain generally goes to Tom Baker (I want a Doctor Who scarf....) so I'm a little all over the place. And so far, Amy Pond is definitely not better than Donna.

Matt Smith is one of the best Doctors! DO NOT BLASPHEME! EX TER MIN ATE! (Matt Smiths are cool!)

@SarahThank you! I loved Donna! She brought that little bit of comedy to compliment The Doctor's. Did you catch the Doctor Who sketch she did with David on Comic Relief? Hilarious!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxB1gB6K-2AAnd also, despite what many people say, I liked Martha. Particularly after she joined UNIT and was on Torchwood.

@JorgeI actually didn't get into new Who until the Catherine Tate era. I watched because I thought she would be AWFUL, and some how she got me hooked. Then I went back and watched Eccleston Era through to the end of season 4 and have been watching ever since. End of series 4 has me in floods of tears every damn time. Donna is ridiculously awesome.I do love Matt Smith and I enjoy Karen's work, but they're both still lacking the gravitas of the older actors. However Matt is definitely inhabiting the role, in a very Tom Baker style and I think he is only going to get better. He is maybe also let down a little bit by the ...fairytale emphasis of S Moffat, the current show runner who is a brilliant writer but a little bit inconsistent for a whole series.

@SarahMatt is a fine doctor, and Karen is very much capable of acting. It's the writing that disappointed me during the last series. When Moffat took over, I was expecting the best series we had ever had. What we got was the worst. Hopefully he learned from his mistakes because - as we all know - he has the capacity for amazing things (Blink, The Empty Child, etc).#11 never really had a personality, except in that one Sarah Jane Adventures episode. Everyone other than Smith is awful in it, so I don't recommend unless you want to see how he can own the character. In that one SJA episode, he had more character than he did for the entire 5th series.

The brilliant thing about Donna that neither Martha NOR ROSE had is that her story arch made oh so painfully plain just how far she had developed during her tenure as assistant. Both Rose's and Martha's stories were colored by their falling in love with the Doctor, so that became the brunt of their characters' development. Donna never fell in love with the Doctor, though she became attached to him in other ways. But it honestly wasn't until her swan song episode and the specials that came after it that you realized just how brilliantly Catherine Tate pulled off that role and how especially tragic her story was.

@RuthThen you must be a sheltered or an in-denial bigot. Name me one group that's as universally hated and reviled by multiple religious and ethnic groups than homosexuals. In the U.S. over 50% of the population doesn't believe that homosexuals should have equal rights. In the Middle East, most Middle Eastern countries, being gay is punishable by death. It's much maligned in Africa and a huge portion of Asia.Even in Europe, there's still pockets of homophobia. So it's not hyperbole when the majority of the world DOES think you're dirt. So before you open your mouth about being "logical" maybe do some research first?
