That said, hurray for herobear!"I agree with the last sentiment (lots of fond memories of when I was feral), but the first part seems a bit off. I'm pretty sure developers have never intended anyone to be able to fill multiple roles (heal/tank/melee dps/caster) competitively in a single encounter. Instead, "hybrid tax" refers to the basic idea of being able to make choices with your class. The hybrid tax was intended to be a penalty to combat ability to make up for non-combat versatility. They have gone back and forth on whether they want that to exist at all, and if so exactly how, but they've been clear all along that they don't want hybrids tanking like a tank while dpsing like a dps or healing like a healer with no penalty at all except for switching forms/stance/presence/whatever.
