The Queue: This is the worst Queue in the world -- Rebecca Black's Friday
While the above cinema will certainly generate at least a few hundred comments, everyone should remember to leave at least a question or two about WoW while you recount your amazement at Rebecca Black's video. That way my colleagues won't want to put my head on a pike.
Sedna asked:
As a newb rogue, is it worth it to try and farm lockboxes at all anymore, or should I rely on Pickpocket for my source of randomized loot?
As was pointed out in the comments, the best thing you can do is to just macro pickpocket onto your stealth opening moves. You'll get lockboxes and a bunch of other junk as well. The macro would look like this (as long as you have auto loot turned on):
Remember too that you don't have to train up lockpicking anymore. It advances automatically with your level, which is really quite nice./cast Pick Pocket
/cast Whatever-stealth-action-you-open-with
Sedna also asked:
Any guesses as to the approximate lifespan of an authenticator?
According to all the documentation, 7 years.
Dirtyg asked:
How close have any of the WoW Insider staff ever come to quitting WoW?
Those of us that have been at WoW Insider for a long time know an important rule: Don't get burned out. It's very easy when your job is to write about a game to get quickly tired of the game, and that means that we all take breaks to play other things and explore other areas of interest. Of course by a "break" I mean playing only for a few hours a week, maybe only logging on to raid, etc.
There have been some staff who have quit WoW entirely, but they've resigned from the site (which isn't a bad thing -- gotta like the subject area in the business, or else your writing suffers greatly).
We we we we so excited. We gonna have a ball today.

My fave has to be Egbert. I've freaked out way too many raid leaders and heroic pugs with that thing. Love it!

Murky, always and forever.

Ohhhh my goodness. You really had to ask? Well...
If I need a little bit of a pick-me-up, my Singing Sunflower always cheers me.
If I'm feeling particularly trigger-happy, Grunty is right there with his rattatatting.
If I want to show off just how much my hubby loves me, I bring out the Lil Moonkin, which was a gift from him, to have flowers pop up every so often (it's like a bouquet that keeps on blooming!).
If I'm homesick for my family back in N. California and San Francisco's Chinatown, I bring out my Pandaren Monk.
If I'm feeling energetic, it's either Lil XT or Egbert.
If I want something ridiculously cute, it's Speedy because he always looks so darned happy to see you!

I like whatever pet's out at the moment. Being a true collector, I can't really pick just one. I really love them all.
That being said, my favorite pet to have out in Tol Barad is my fox kit. To rub it in the noses of those that don't have it yet. WAIT! I totally mean to show them that it does drop. >.>

I can't decide between the baby proto-drake, the sprite-darter (DERP!), the wolpertinger (listen to him), and the phoenix hatchling. Though I wouldn't mind a personal world destroyer if I didn't hate leveling engineering so much.
Thomas Higgins Mar 15th 2011 4:02PM
Trick question, as the only minipet I want is the one I cannot yet have. The Lashtail Hatchling from Zul'Gurub.

Netherwhelp.
I seriously wish during Wrath of the Lich King they had nerfed Frosty's size. He started off huge, way bigger than any other whelpling. Then they shrunk him, then they enlarged him again, and when the change was made so whelps flew around your head, he was so big you clicked on him constantly.

White Kitten or my Raptor Hatchlings.
It depends on class/race mostly... I find it hilarious to have a tiny little kitten following my hulking, fury-wracked Warrior around.
Amaxe Mar 15th 2011 9:52PM
The Wolvar cub, Whiskers the rat (he was always amusing to watch when leveling fishing back in the TBC days) and the personal world destroyer (I'm a Goblin Engineer on my main) were my favorites.

I'm not entirely sure if anyone has already asked this at any point; most likely so, but as I haven't read an answer, I'd like to ask:
Why exactly are we locked out of Wrath heroics once we hit 81? We are able to queue for random BC normals and heroics until well into the 70s. This morning, I wished to do a few Wrath heroics on my resto shaman, due to the fact that I am still rather an unconfident healer, and wanted to gain some more experience with "high end 'difficult' content" before approaching the much-maligned world of Cataclysm heroics. Yet I was unable to, and now am unsure whether I can just jump into Throne of the Tides or Blackrock Cavern without some more 80 heroic experience. Did Blizzard ever give a reason why we cannot access Wrath instances through the LFG after 81?
If anyone HAS asked this recently, I do apologise, but I would like to know.

Also ... my ears are bleeding. I curse you all for your comments of horror, you made me so curious I hit the play button. Oh God, what has been heard cannot be unheard.

'...much-maligned world of Cataclysm heroics' should read '...much-maligned world of Cataclysm healing'. I was looking at the word heroic when I wrote it. Damn my brain.
Rekilsc Mar 15th 2011 11:40AM
Wait - Do you mean "locked out" as "can't queue for them in the Dungeon Finder" or "I've tried going into these instances on foot and a message appeared saying my level was too high"?
Henry Mar 15th 2011 11:39AM
I was pretty worried about starting healing on my Shaman too. I didn't even start to consider it until I had a good gear set built up and was level 85, and even then I started by randoming into BRC and Throne of the Tides. It was really really easy. I didn't even have glyphs for resto (stupid me) and it was really easy.
I think that starting with those would probably be fine for you.
Namus Mar 15th 2011 11:43AM
I'm recently (trying) leveling my resto shammy using the dungeon finder which means a loop between Blackrock Caverns, Throne of the Tides and (gasp) the stonecore, and let me tell you that we still have the "infinite mana" phenomenom from Wrath, things probably won't get tricky untill heroics.
Disclaimer: my shammy had a good assortement of ICC epics.
Sunaseni Mar 15th 2011 11:56AM
No one takes damage in normal, so go ahead and jump into BRC. I made it halfway through BRC on my DK, barely taking any damage, then I realized I was in my DPS gear. Switching to tank gear just meant I took no damage at all.
Kadzeroth Mar 15th 2011 1:23PM
Even at 85 my priest has virtually infinite mana in regulars. Of course you still can't heal stupid, but you shouldn't have problems healing competent players through random regulars for healing practice.

I forgot how complicated life was when I was 12.
Q for the Q: when will warlocks realize they're just emo mages and come back to the arcane?
