Tuesday Morning Post: Meanwhile, in WoW edition

If you're tired of patch 4.1 news, have no fear, we have some pretty sweet non-patch news too. We had a contingent at PAX East 2011 and got a chance to sit down with Cryptozoic, the makers of the WoW TCG. The developers also recently held a forum Q&A, and the first round of questions and answers was released yesterday. Me, I'm most excited that they didn't completely dismiss the idea of an appearance layer on gear like they have in the past.
You should have some time to read up on this and all the rest of the week's news, as we have our usual scheduled maintenance from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific time this morning.

In other news, I just noticed the new "share this post through various means" buttons at the bottom of the post. Stylish.

I've been playing a lot of Dragon Age II as well. I love most of the companions, but man is Carver a whiny little brat (I'm a mage).
And Fenris? He's like pure, concentrated, dark brooding emo guy. An elf with silver hair wearing all black, with anmesia, who was a slave and is out for revenge. He lives in a run-down mansion and drinks lots of wine. Just the way he talks... ugh. He literally told me that his "soul was tainted".
I really can't stand the guy.

Looking at all the companions in this game, one thing strikes out.
Varric should bloody well be a romance option.
Seriously. Why would you want anyone else? Varric is awesome!

I hope the example above is a reason to discourage some people from using character customization and to stick with preset faces. Good god, man. This looks like a bastardized version of that actor who played the kidnapped food critic in an episode of Always Sunny in Philadelphia. The evil antagonist in the movie Hackers,.... With strange dead mannequin eyes. Shame on you.

Just tried logging in at 10:15 AM PST (or is it PDT now?) and it had me download a patch - which given it's small size - appeared to have been for the launcher. Now, clicking the launcher gives that friendly you-shall-not-pass warning: Launcher cannot obtain patching information. Please check your internet configuration.
*sigh*
Tuesdays.
Hopefully the servers are still down and it'll clear right up when they go active again.
Also, Elrith -
Fisher Stevens will eat your soul! And also, plant a worm in your companys mainframe to steal billions, but mostly...the soul thing.

Yep, cleared right up.
I sense the dark work of Fisher Stevens!
