Around Azeroth: Valhalla, I am coming
Archimedea of The Seekers of Truth on Farstriders (US-A) writes, "This is from the quest chain in the Badlands where you're running around with Olaf, Baelog & Eric of the Lost Vikings. Just before we stormed the keep at New Kargath to slaughter those conspiring with Deathwing, in that last moment of no return, the setting sun touched the top of the keep, and I stood proud with my fellow Vikings."

What the crap? Where's today's Breakfast Topic?
Nina Katarina Mar 16th 2011 10:53AM
It's the most important meal of the day! At least that's what the cereal commercials tell me.
Sinthar Mar 16th 2011 10:57AM
Love the way people ask where the breakfast post was - on the second post of the day rather than the 1st!.
I guess they were too sleepy from it being missing to have realised til they had read the 2nd post. :)
MattKrotzer Mar 16th 2011 11:00AM
No, but that one was actually a post with content. I'd get downvoted and ignored. This is just a screenshot. Seemed to be a better venue.

Today I had my breakfast sans topic. That is a shame.

Also, I gotta say, that whole quest chain and zone was rather annoying as the Alliance.
Yet again, the Horde can sprout gigantic fortresses out of nowhere and the Alliance presence consists of four or five tents. You arrive at your tent-base to get a quest to... save the Horde base from Black Dragons...?
Tokkar Mar 16th 2011 2:37PM
You are aware that the Horde had a base there to begin with, right? This is merely an upgrade to what was already there, using its materials et al after ol' Ironjaw got pissed. The Alliance arrived late into the game...and they're always two tents.

Not only that, but the last quest itself was bull. I had to get a guildie to come help me. No matter what, the quest would go south immediately. Clear the whelps? Immediate respawn. Clear them again and mash the hell out of the interrupt? She gets to use her fear immediately after we interrupt, but ours is on a timer. Hole up in a pit so the fear can't do anything? The 3 bearded bunglers there would clip over hills I couldn't even *climb* to find the nearest mobs, pull them, and die. Try to pull her out of the area? See first attempt.
And then the rewards were useless to me. At least the end of the story was good.

@VioletArrows: Well, Vikings aren't exactly known for their brains.
Especially THOSE Vikings. ;)

Gnomes doing Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song"? (The song containing the _second_ most epic scream in rock 'n roll, after "Won't Get Fooled Again" by The Who, of course.) Blast you, E Wachowski! ROFL!
It's funny in that "Ye Goddess, what have we wrought?!" sort of way.

No breakfast topic....? :C

We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow.
The hammer of the gods will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying: Valhalla, I am coming!
Dwarves need a new emote.

I...did not know of this quest. I am a HUGE Lost Vikings fan.
I am glad I still have a week left of sub time. Now I have something to end my WoW life on properly.
Aruhgulah Mar 17th 2011 12:38AM
Jake, AND make sure you do "The Day Deathwing Came", too (those NPCs are near the Lost Vikings area). You'll be laughing your butt off.

Lo, there do I see my father.
Lo, there do I see my mother and my sisters and my brothers.
Lo, there do I see the line of my people, back to the beginning.
Lo, they do call to me, they bid me take my place among them, in the Halls of Valhalla, where the brave may live … forever.
