If you do the questline now, it just stops right there. It's now a huge dangling plotline!

I wish you'd at least have kept the shield quest, give it to someone in Dalaran if they don't want to "mix timelines" with Varian, then have them say something about the Battle for Undercity...

Sure we can't go there, but it'd be nice to reference it.
