Great article! I've started the hunt for this guy, as well. An interesting fact: There are 2 different types of Camel Figurines; One that is the dud, and the other that ports you up to Feralas. This is apparent on WoWhead by seeing that the second item id (50409) includes the cyclone effect to teleport you. So, in my opinion, enlisting NPC scan's help is actually a great idea, since you can put in the 'active' Camel Figurine id and search for it. No need to empty the cache when it only pops to yield your mount.

Brilliant, saw that comment on wowhead and was coming to wow insider to check if it meant what I thought it did...no more trawling the desert with a macro =D
