"I'm under the impression the raid lockout system is not just a dead-or-alive checklist, but that there's a specific order of bosses they consider "correct", and if you join with a raid that's farther than you, and down something, you might miss out on bosses they didn't kill."Nope. It's just that most of the time you are forced to kill bosses in a specific order; if you can't get to Nefarion without killing an earlier boss, then you'll end up saved to that earlier boss (at least) because you'll find that you get saved to every dead boss in the instance when a boss dies.Heroics still have an actual raid ID, though, and you can't mix and match those. Or at least you couldn't when they rolled it out."Please note that this feature of the raid ID only counts on CATA raids."Actually, it counts on any raid added in 3.3 or later; Blizz retrofitted this system to ICC and Halion with patch 4.0.1 (to much wailing and gnashing of teeth, because it meant that you couldn't do both heroic and regular ICC in the same week.)
