Very well written question.
At 15 it's hard to see to far into the future, past your peers and their opinions, but trust me, soon that won't matter as much as it seems to now. You have to do what you want to do and, while accepting the opinions of others, your opinion on your happiness is all that matters. In a couple years, or less, they're opinion on video games isn't going to matter one bit to you. Don't let anyone lay your paths for you, you'll only set yourself up for regrets later.
