When you finish high school and move onto university, you'll realize that "cool" is a very malleable term. Being a nerd is cool. Being a jock is cool, too. It just depends on the people you surround yourself with, and in high school, you unfortunately don't have much a choice in the matter. That changes pretty quick though. I say, do what you enjoy doing. It doesn't make you a sell-out if you enjoy popular activities, but it doesn't make you a loser if you don't.
