We don't know the official name of the mount (although datamining points to its being called a Winged Lion, which would make sense), the price, or any other details.

It would be cool if these purchases helped the Red Cross in Japan. Even if not, I'll probably buy this one. Looks cool. Of course, I thought the sparkle pony looked good until I saw it in game.

It would be nice to have something other than the sparkle pony for my alts to ride. When I start a new toon, the sparkle pony (while being very handy since it saves gold and time spent finding the mount seller) bothers me. I switch to a normal mount when I get the gold and happen by the mount seller.
The sparkle pony (while ragged on a lot) is a very interesting design and just seems odd for low lvl 20s to be riding around on it. I don't mean it should be a "special snowflake" type mount just that it reminds me of Ulduar and Agalon...something a higher level should be riding like 70 or 80. It just feels out of place for my lvl 20 alts.
I don't think I'd have the same association with this lion mount. I like that there will be another option for my lowbie.
Although the sparkle pony already cause me some bag space problems on my new alt and a second mount will make the situation worse. I hope down the line they make the mount "learnable" but unride-able until the right level to space bag space.

It reminds me of the black lion from voltron. It would be awsome if they made warcraft versions of all five lions as mounts and when you get all five you get an achement

To the people saying it looks Horrible, there have been about two pictures of it on the internet so far AND it's not even avalible yet, odds are it'll be altered before realease AND you'll get a much better look at it.

While I doing enjoy the concept of flying around on a shimmering feline of awesomeness, I'm still hopeing that they will finally put a amoured boar mount in the game. It would be a sweet mount.
