We don't know the official name of the mount (although datamining points to its being called a Winged Lion, which would make sense), the price, or any other details.
Stay tuned here at WoW Insider. We'll get you any other information we have on this mount as it comes in.

Seriously. There seems to be some internal requirement at Blizzard that all the mounts they sell through the online store are ugly and unpleasant.

I agree. It looks like it's got the same glowy trail as the phoenix, but not nearly as pretty.

I'm not sure if Blizzard would spend art time on a fully modeled/textured/animated riding mount with no intent to use it.
Then again, it's Blizzard.
On a semi-related note, it's 1.5 weeks until April Fools. SO EXCITED. :D

Could Blizzard possibly have released a screen-shot prior to the product to see the fans reaction to the model? Hopefully they will change its appearance as it's a great concept but the colors and effects doesn't seem to have the right feel in the world.

I agree with Moonblaze. When I saw the leaks at mmo-champ, I was expecting it to be more of a natural color, or something gold or orange. The concrete grey just isn't doing it for me.

Yes. Perhaps TOO pretty. Seriously, Blizzard should make their store mounts only MILDLY cool. I mean seriously, something THAT awesome doesn't deserve to be plastered all over my screen, idling in Orgrimmar and Stormwind by about half the server. ._.

Yeah. I hope the majority of people don't like it. If I spend money on a mount I want it to be something I won't regret buying because everyone has it. I think it looks better than the sparkle pony. But it does still look sparklish. How about a flying turtle? I might hold out to shell out real money until they offer a 2-seater.

Well it doesn't matter, if the sparkle pony is anything to go by then everyone will be riding it for a day or two, but after that everyone will be to embarrassed to admit they like a mount everyone else has so you'll rarely see it outside low level zones.
