We don't know the official name of the mount (although datamining points to its being called a Winged Lion, which would make sense), the price, or any other details.
Stay tuned here at WoW Insider. We'll get you any other information we have on this mount as it comes in.

yeah ... no. paying to grind just to play drove me away - you're gonna have to do better than some ugly mount I HAVE TO BUY with RL cash to play a game I have to PAY TO GRIND in.

Yeah, right. Btw, if you hate the game so much, why do you keep looking over your shoulder at it? If you're done with it, just walk away. No need to convince the rest of us that your opinion is correct.

Blizzard has made WoW unplayable. that's the bottom line. at C2E2 this past weekend I chatted with many who said they quit WoW shortly after paying for Cataclysm - for the same reasons i left.
Blizzard supposedly discourages buying gold, yet make the game unplayable without doing so.
I refuse to pay for a game that is little more than a job now to play.
this will be the only commentary on it, as I've removed the offending facebook feed spam.

Sorry, how exactly is it "unplayable" without buying gold? I've been playing since August and have been very much enjoying it, I'm raiding with a guild at a pace I like (9/12 normal at the moment) and am spending less on WoW than I used to on other games for a similar (to me) level of enjoyment. The odds are I won't be purchasing this mount (although if a good percentage of the proceeds go to charity I might be tempted), but I'm not entirely sure why it's a bad thing for Blizzard to release cosmetic items for people that desire them.
I'm glad you've found another game you enjoy more, but I find it very odd that you've decided to come here and mock those that enjoy this game while saying absolutely nothing productive. Enjoy whatever it is you're doing now, but don't try and annoy those who enjoy something different just because you don't like it. Everyone has their own taste in what they find fun, try and respect that.

You must be a moron if you seriously cannot make money in Cata, especially when compared to Vanilla where you hardly made anything. You could probably fart out gold if you logged in right now.

one ... you have to pay to play WoW. since Cataclysm came out, JUST to run dungeons, you have to be a certain item level. in order to do that, you have to grind - or buy gold (which they supposedly discourage)
two ... its a mount you have the option of buying. I didn't get the pony - but I would also never get the lion, either.
three - this was on my facebook feed - believe me, I'm blocking it -- I thought I killed anything remotely related to WoW.

Why do the "Quitters" even respond on WoW based sites. If you "Quit" then be real about it and leave the site to those that actually enjoy the game. I hate reading topics about new features to see approximately 30% of the comments are from those that have "Quit."

I think the mount looks pretty awesome. I bought the last mount and i will buy this one. My justification is "I" think it looks awesome.
