Breakfast Topic: Which Cataclysm heroic do you dread seeing on your loading screen?

Since every instance in Cataclysm has its own load screen, players know where they are going before they ever set foot in the instance. Some instances are harder than others. Some have awful trash. Some have boss fights that require lots of moving, and some have tons of ambient group damage. Depending on your role, which instance you want to see come up as your random probably changes. Some have that one piece of gear you need or that achievement you really would love to get; others make you feel disheartened as soon as the loading screen pops up.
I currently have two 85s; my main is a tank, and my alt is a hunter. While tanking anything but Stonecore, I am fairly happy. I hate the initial few pulls in Stonecore with Milhouse Manastorm and those damn guys that turn into rock elementals and have that disgusting AoE so much, and the trash pulls with the sentries later on also suck. My tank just runs the one heroic a day for the points so I can get my last piece of tier for feral and start picking up some of the moonkin off-spec pieces, so if I get Vortex Pinnacle every day and just blow through it, all the better.
On the other hand, with my hunter, every time I see The Deadmines I am actually happy. I still need the axe and bracers. Also, my hunter hasn't been 85 very long, so justice points are still useful to me.
What heroics do you hate to see pop up? What makes you hate this particular instance? Which are you actually happy to see?

for StoneCore, you can skip the first pull by going to the left, and do all the rest without Millhouse and then come back for the first one.

I'm not sure that works anymore. Tried it right after 4.0.6 came out and got aggro on millhouse and the first group while trying to kill the second.

Same here, went in for the mount on my dk last week and got nuked pretty quick when the first group aggro'd after I pulled the second.

grim batol when in a PUG. I'll drop group after the first boss if the recurrent 4k-dpser is not kicked, since the final boss's adds need be downed quickly.
shadowfang always, that thing is too damn long.

In wrath, it was Strat. In Cata, its strat on my Shaman alt. In the next expac, it will be Strat on whichever toon I'm playing.

Grim Batol - so far I have never managed to finish a pug in there - only one time we made decent progress (i.e past the first boss) my own router died on me in the last fight.
So far I haven't gotten stonecore for the daily heroic dungeon at all so that one will also be one of the few I'm just a little scared of seeing

STOOOOOONECOOOOOOORRRREE!
I don't actually struggle tanking it or anything like that. I just don't like all the rocky business. It's boring to look at. The bosses are actually pretty fun, IMO.
Other than that, it depends on the day. I'm pretty bored with BRC atm, even though it's one of my favourites (I like the 3rd boss), because I got it 5/7 times last week. Same goes for Grim Batol, since I ran it a heap for Throngus' Finger, which I replaced the day after I got it... The pull just before Throngus is always annoying.

Charming.

I don't get the "HoO is long comments"... we usually just do the 3 bosses, unless someone asks nicely about a specific boss for a drop ?

Skipping bosses is the worst justification for a long instance I've ever heard.
First of all, those optional bosses are needed for a quest, so almost every time somebody wants to do them for that reason.
Secondly, there is always a chance somebody wants to down one or more of them for a specific drop, or simply the JP points.
Thirdly, the place already feels long because one of the other bosses requires you to kill 4 mini-bosses first (and deal with constantly respawning/annoying trogg packs) just to get to him.
If they would have done without the 4 mini bosses and made the other regular bosses not skippable, i think everyone would enjoy it a lot more. Removing the mini bosses would save time and everyone would get to kill the main bosses for gear/quests/jp.

Having everybody in a PUG go out of their way for a quest in a *Heroic* Dungeon is not justifiable.
If somebody really needs to complete it, they can run it on Normal.
Guilegamesh Mar 22nd 2011 10:19AM
Why in the world would someone be running a quest in a heroic? Also, I despise Vortex Pinnacle only because of those damned CC pulls. So many CC pulls and so many fail PUGs

I'm not up to Cataclysm heroics yet, but with my small army of alts, I know there are a few dungeons I dread during the leveling-up process. Wailing Caverns is one - so few people know their way around, and for some reason, I've had more bad groups in that dungeon than any other. Razorfen Downs and Razorfen Kraul are much the same. And while leveling through BC content, I seem to get the gorram Mana Tombs so bloody much...
But on the plus side, when it's time to hit Wrath content, there's always Violet Hold. I friggin' love Violet Hold.

Thumbs up for the Firefly lingo!
On topic, Grim Batol. When an add pops up in the middle of the 3 DPS and the healer and instantly one shots us and causes a wipe, that's just wrong.

Preach on, Captain Tightpants!
Stay shiny.

Stonecore...
Just go there with your own group. NEVER pug Stonecore...
Salire Mar 22nd 2011 8:13AM
I thought first Deadmines too but on the other hand there's the Vanessa VanCleef event that I think is the best boss fight of all.
Than on the first place I would say Lost City of the Tol'vir. I know it's short but I'm enough of this instance. Those little creepy things freak me out and the fights are also a pain in the a**.
