SwagDog has announced two new additions to its
World of Warcraft clothing line, including Horde or Alliance Reebok NHL replica jerseys and a short-sleeved Hawaiian design. The NHL jerseys come in two different styles -- a Rookie version that has a Horde or Alliance style, and a Veteran version that allows the purchaser to add a name and number.
Summer is coming up, and SwagDog doesn't want to leave its
WoW fans shirtless. The Hawaiian shirts come in both Alliance and Horde versions, each with a tropical-inspired design.
Check out the new gear over at
SwagDog.

Hawaiian WoW-shirts? xD That sounds absolutely hilarious! DO WANT.
Drakkenfyre Mar 23rd 2011 8:16PM
With the logo all over it, or the pineapple print seen in Goblin buildings, or even Goblins themselves. Landscapes such as Outland, or cities, would be great.
Instead, it's a black shirt, with a faction symbol on the right side, and a think strip of a design going down. And the Blizzard logo on the back.
It's a nice design, but not the kind you usually think of when you hear Hawaiian shirt.
And not worth $70.

I wanted it, until I read "printed" in the description. Not paying that much for a screen print bowling shirt. Thanks.
If they come up with a stitched one, sure.
Phil Mar 24th 2011 9:11AM
Yea I bought one the other day when I got a email from them about them. They are very nice looking I think.
Drakkenfyre Mar 23rd 2011 8:03PM
I wanted a Hawaiian shirt.
But they are $60! Damn. And that's on "sale", it's normally $70.
Seriously guys, a shirt with a faction logo, a background image going down one side, and the Blizzard logo on the back is not worth $60.
Atdt1991 Mar 23rd 2011 8:30PM
Seriously. I'm wearing a black button-down short-sleeve right now, very nice, cost $20. And it is not, in any way, hawaiian, just like their shirt.
If it was completely custom, that would be one thing, but horde or alliance? Come on. I could get that silk-screened on a brand new shirt for way less than that, even for a quantity of one. Even $40 would be, y'know, expensive but understandable as a blizzard licensed product.
Drakkenfyre Mar 23rd 2011 8:40PM
I like alot of SwagDog's stuff, and I understand there are licensing issues that increases the prices, but come on. It's a shirt. It would be awesome to get faction symbols, like Human, or Draenei, or landscapes, but it's just one of two designs, and it costs more than their fully customized T-shirts featuring your character name, race, class, guild name, guild tabard, server, and battlegroup.
Some of their stuff is just getting way overpriced.
It's reminding me of Valve's store. Plush figures for $40. Some mugs for $15.
Snuzzle Mar 24th 2011 4:23AM
I agree. I was interested in the jersey style shirt, but the $100 price tag for even the NON CUSTOMIZED one is just way too rich for my blood. Add another $50 bones if you want to add a name and a number. Sheesh.
ArwenEM Mar 23rd 2011 8:07PM
It'd be nice if they had women's styles. >.
RetPallyJil Mar 23rd 2011 8:20PM
For what, the hockey jerseys? Sorry, even women's teams wear proper jerseys. They aren't about style.
ArwenEM Mar 23rd 2011 8:23PM
For anything. Even the guild t-shirts only seem to come in men's styles.
Astoreth Mar 23rd 2011 10:36PM
Several products do come in Women's styles; the Guild Icon shirts, for example. You have to click through to customization to see it, though.
ArwenEM Mar 23rd 2011 11:35PM
Interesting. I had clicked through the customization for one of the t-shirts and it didn't look like they had women's. I'll try another and see if I have more luck :)

You obviously haven't been to the NFL store or any other US pro shop/web site. In the US pretty much any of our teams have womens and kids sizes/styles. If you want to sell to Women it's a good thing to do. If not well...I do know one thing, I'd much rather look at a woman in a form fitting jersey than an over sized one ;)
Caliea Mar 24th 2011 7:48AM
And something besides black.
I mean, I get it. The sterotype is basement-dwelling, greasy haired gamer boys that dress exclusively in black hoodies.
But I'm a 35 yr old professional chick, that happens to game in her spare time. Is it too much to ask for a feminine color as the background at least?
Give me sky blue, give me pale green - it doesn't have to be pink with sparkle hearts on it, but give me something to work with!
Nipah Mar 23rd 2011 8:10PM
Sorry, but that's not a Hawaiian shirt...

That's just a black button down shirt with a stripe + logo going down the site.
side note: Why is it that 1/2 of the shirts for gaming/anime only come in black? I haven't worn a black shirt since I stopped buying DBZ merchandise...
Sean Riley Mar 23rd 2011 8:55PM
Exactly!
That is not a Hawaiian shirt. That's a bowling shirt, at most. Damn it, Swagdog. I want a WoW themed Hawaiian shirt!
Tondef Mar 24th 2011 7:09AM
I would have termed it a Bowling Shirt (http://www.bowlingshirt.com/) which are Charlie Sheen classic cool.
chaos5061 Mar 23rd 2011 8:14PM
Going to get a Hawaiian shirt as soon as I can:D
Dreyja Mar 23rd 2011 8:28PM
I would normally NEVER wear a team jersey but THIS is cool. It will totally throw people off in who I am cheering for in the Battle of Alberta. ;)
I'd kill to have one with BRONZEBEARD on the back though! I'm good with Jaina but the Bronzebeards have me heart.
