Exact searching could be implemented with much less recoding by allowing brackets to cap the ends of a phrase. Searching for [Alicite] would get only an exact match for alicite. Searching for Alicite would still get everything containing the word alicite. As a bonus, you could search for [XXX to get everything starting with the XXX, or YYY] to get everything ending with YYY. Also, how many times have you copied something from elsewhere and pasted it into the search box and then had to manually remove the brackets? Now you wouldn't have to.It's not perfect from a user's point of view, but it would solve the exact search problem and it's massively easier for Blizz to implement than a complete AH UI overhaul, so we might actually see it done if people push for it.
