Around Azeroth: Growing like a weed
While questing in Loch Modan for the Loremaster achievement, Brunnstag of The Stromgarde Crusade on Winterhoof (US-A) was forced to wear this so-called "Clever Plant Disguise." If this is what passes for cleverness among the Alliance these days, I don't think Garrosh has anything to worry about. He can just arm the Orgrimmar guards with weed killer and order them to watch out for a gang of rhododendrons trying to invade the city.

Where does it says prestige in the post? so if you get a sparkle pony you are forbidden to do achievements in game? I'm gonna tell my cousin to take back his icc drakes because his pony makes him unworthy of succesful raiding.

Check the Armory, I don't think there's a problem with having 1 bought mount when you have 86 others, including a mechanochopper, mammoth, and master riding. Maybe he just likes the Sparkle Pony.

LOL, apparently I should have taken the screenshot on my Netherwing Drakes, Nether Rays, Talbuks, Ravenlord, Winterspring Frostsaber, Swift White Hawkstrider, White Polar Bear, Mechanochopper, Horseman's Reins, Green Proto Drake, Twilight Drake, Albino Drake, Cenarion War Hippogryph, Swift Zhevra, or Swift Brewfest Ram instead! Alas, I am not worthy! D:

@Brunnstag, you play a dwarf hunter. You don't need to list mounts to show us how awesomesauce you are. ;-)

Yeah having a bought mount doesn't mean everything else a person does is irrelevant. So go screw yourself. The post said that they were doing the Loremaster achievement, and if they choose do to that on a mount that they enjoy, so be it, that's up to them! Personally, I think the mount is awesome and the pic looks great with it there. Did you even bother to Armory that toon before you commented? I thought so. So stfu. :P

And if you write a huge post about Celestial Steeds ruining the game, you're just a troll. Or perhaps bitter that other people are getting enjoyment?

Sorry, gold sellers are not the same. Gold sellers farm gold in game and thus ruin the economy *inside* the game by inflating prices past what most normal players can afford in game. Blizzard has made just a few things to sell for real life money to use inside the game- how does this ruin the game for everyone else?
Just because you are bitter about these items does not mean that they are ruining the game. I think Blizzard has done a great job making new content- such as Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King and Cataclysm all of which you had to pay real life money for besides the things they bring out in the game which open new content like The Ruby Sanctum, which you did not have to pay for. They are a business so of course they want to make more money off an all ready successful game. The real issue is do these things make people happy and thus increase their overall enjoyment of their own game? Yes, for people who purchase them they do. And if you chose not to do that because it doesn't create enjoyment for you, then that's your problem. Why do you continue to pay the monthly fee if it rankles you so? Why no go play another game that doesn't require that monthly fee and leave us and our pets/mounts that we have paid *extra* for alone? :P

What a sad little person you are. :(
Telain Mar 25th 2011 11:53PM
What progression are you getting for buying a mount? It's decorative. And I've personally sat beside Brunn through countless hours of playing.
Brunnstag Mar 26th 2011 12:10AM
Well, and if he HAD bothered to armory me he'd see that I'm in a smattering of heroic blues, a few crafted epics I made when I got my engineering maxed and a few rep pieces. If I'd payed someone to get them for me, well I certainly did not get my moneys worth!
And seeing as this person's general argument is meandering back and forth betwixt nerd raging over blizzard not giving them enough content, and random whining about gold sellers (Which really isn't related at all as a simple mount offers no progressionary stats at all), I don't really think they're worth our time picking to pieces anymore. Besides, now they're just repeating themselves, which is adorable, but does not make they're points any more valid then they were the first time they were aggressively stated.
So everyone else, please go back to your business! Meanwhile, I'm gonna go back to my Loremaster achievment, and archaeology!

Oh, and by the way, the Celestial Steed was a birthday gift from a friend in game who knew I collected mounts. ;D

While I don't like bought mounts, either, at what point in hell does buying a mount and buying gold become the same thing?
One gives you a mount for all your characters, an advantage, yes, but you still need training. The other gives you an advantage in almost everything else, and helps people get their accounts compromised.
